Probably a subjective answer, but how flexible are these silicone cases?

I usually have a spigen case, awhich is sort of more hard-ish plastic. I do like these plum coloured silicone cases, but wonder how flexible they are, with regards to them letting dust or dirt in arount the screen etc. My experience of silicone cases in the past was that they tended to be a bit looser on the phone.

Or, are these more like the leather cases, and have a stiffer/harder plastic shell, basically coated with a silicone finish?

I have the plum one and you don’t have to worry about dirt getting in. There is a little give in the sides so you can get the case on without struggling but once it’s on it’s tight enough for dust not to get through.

I bought the Apple clear MagSafe case and from YouTube videos, that looks like pretty hard plastic. Have had clear spigen silicone case for a number of previous years, just wanted the Apple MagSafe ‘clear’ case so went for this.

Thanks, good to know. They are a lot of money for a silicone case, if they were no better than the cheapo ones you buy on eBay etc.

Thoughts on these Amazon 'cases'? I've taken a punt and ordered one as well as from Apple!

The text is clearly that of the leather case whereas the picture is showing the wallet.

While it had become pretty clear these were cases after Amazon updated the pictures, I’m still very pleased to report that Amazon have just delivered a genuine leather case. Glad I cancelled my Apple order now! :)

Cheers. The Spigen cases are great, but I kinda fancy a wee change this year. The plum silicone case does look lovely, so it might be a good option.

Just paid off my last couple of months contract with EE, just thought id have a chat with them regarding getting my new 12 Pro Max on Friday. Wanted a good Sim only deal...

First couple of deals i turned down then offered this!

'I have checked 5G for £20/m for 24 months with 100GB data
After NHS discount and 10% loyalty discount it will be £14.50/m'

That will do me !!!!
That’s a good deal but I managed to get my one to 200gb 5G 24months for £10 a month

Not completely true. Once you scan the code it does not deactivate the old sim it just installs it on your device. Just like placing a new physical sim in the device. You still have to go online (with the old sim) and activate the sim swap. It will then move over.
Ok cheers, so when I activate the SIM swap from the current handset, how will it know to move over to the eSIM I installed in the new device that they are sending in the post?

There’s probably straight forward instructions once I receive the pack...

Really impressed by the quality of the leather cases

Can any of you guys/gals who have purchased the ESR edge to edge protector confirm if it interferes at all with the leather case?

Thinking of swapping out my Belkin non edge to edge to the ESR as the Belkin seems to collect loads of dust between its edge and the edge of leather case (there is a 1-2mm gap all around).....

I’d love to rock a light colour leather case but knowing they won’t stay that colour for very long, i went for the Baltic blue.

A friend has a red leather mous contour case and back of it looks very dirty now after a few months.

.......actually, on looking at the reviews on Amazon, quite a number of them are saying the protectors aren’t that great quality wise with a few actually arriving with defects! 😯

Also, looking at this pic, it seems the ESR ALSO has a gap all around the protector between it and the case:

This is the same (almost!) sized gap as my Belkin so I may not actually be gaining anything by swapping over to the ESR....🙃🙃

Was a week or so ago now and been meaning to post for a while..........

Had multiple conversations with EE trying to get the £17.40 unlimited 5G, 1 smart benefit plan that many others had been able to get (£28 less 20% discount less £5 loyalty. On about the 3rd attempt I finally got them to agree this. However later on that evening I got a random text message to say they were not able to process the deal. I spoke again to them to complain (as I had clearly been offered the deal and even accepted the Ts and Cs) and had to argue my case for about 2 hours as they sent me to supervisor and then manager. In the end they agreed to honour but actually was slightly better:
£28 unlimited 5G/1 smart benefit plan - though for some reason this shows as £30 payment, and is also 18 months rather than 24.
20% student bean discount
£7 loyalty discount

Net cost = £17 per month (based on £30 full cost).

But..... having just looked again at my plan it appears they have also left on my 10% multi line discount which by my calculations will reduce monthly cost to £14!!!

Don’t think anyone could complain at that!!

Now just for the phone to arrive on Friday.

Did anyone find the belkin screen protectors that apple sold and applied in their stores would start to get random bubbles in the corner and appear to start to peel off?

Keep at EE. I got the 100gb 5g plan which is £20 down to £10 with a loyalty discount. They wouldn’t add my student discount code on top so I waited a week or so messaged them again and said I forgot to add it, and the agent applied it no problem. So in the end got it for £8 a month

How does one get a student discount code?

Love the ESR screen protector. Never had a glass screen protector before. Can’t even tell it’s on. Got a tiny bit of dust under the first one which annoyed me. Second one is great. Glad there is 3 of them :)

Haven’t got the leather cases but have the silicon case. Just fitted the screen and it’s great.

They’re soft but not very flexible. Means for me there is a better grip.

I had this with my 11 Pro Max Belkin screen protector. One corner developed a bubble after around 6 months and then the other corner had the same after a few weeks.

Took it off recently after seeing how easy to fit the ESR ones are when I fitted one to my wife's 12 Pro.

Stupid question time.

Who does Apple use to ship their orders in the UK?

Not sure who to hope for, as they are all as bad as each other in my area!

8-10 weeks wait for a baltic blue, 12 Pro Max leather case from Apple. 👀

I’ve got a gift card, so don’t want to buy elsewhere. ☹️
