See lots of you discussing eSIMs, is there a real advantage to using them if you only have and use one SIM?
Not really.

The only major benefit I can think of is improved security, where the eSIM is tied to the device and can't be migrated to another device without EE's help (iOS does have a feature to migrate eSIMs to another device, though this reportedly does not work with EE).

The security argument is a moot point if you enable the PIN on the physical SIM card, where it needs unlocking every time the phone is rebooted or if the SIM card is used in another device.

Cool to know, thanks!

...not on my Amazon app they’re not (as of 12:44pm this lunch time). They’re still showing as £48.38!
That’s odd, here’s what I see:

You can request QR codes for esims and just keep them until you need them. There’ll be times when you need to upgrade/replace phones so they are handy to have ready to go. Ordering excess packs is fine.
Be careful! At least on the Three network in the UK, you can end up WITHOUT SERVICE for a couple of days.

Take note that when we process your eSIM request, your physical SIM will be disconnected. You'll need to wait for your new eSIM to arrive. This will mean you'll have to go 1-2 days without service.

Yes - it is bonkers. Unacceptable. But that is what they themselves say happens.

Just spoke to EE about this and the guy had to check with Tech support.

Basically they send a QR through the post and you scan it on the new device, which then deactivates the old eSIM. You can the proceed to wipe the old phone.

Yeah that’s what I kept telling them, had to do the same thing last year. I don’t think they were understanding, they kept saying to take the esim out and put it in the new phone haha. In the end they said they would preload the esim on the phone and then I can activate by following a link. But now I have this notification that a sim is on the way. Will give them a call depending on what arrives.

Odd as this is showing for me with quicker delivery time

On the eSIM front, I requested a replacement via MyEE on their website yesterday - making sure I chose the option for it being for a new/replacement phone. It's cost me £1.50 on my next bill with it coming via post (no choice unfortunately with the stores being closed).

Despite being told it would take 3-5 days to come through - the eSIM QR code has actually arrived through the door this morning. Massive surprise at how trouble free it's been this year!

Last two years have been really problematic getting hold of new eSIMS, usually resulting in a massive run around of several stores because they don't know what the heck i'm talking about!!

Perfect size. I’m happy I returned my 12 pro and waited for this.

Loving the colour to go with a black 12 mini. The California Poppy colour looks good but will look terrible after a few months of dirt from work.
Does the leather feel different to last years? I didn’t like the feel of the case my dad got for his phone.

Not too sure, I’ve used the Apple leather cases for years. Compared to my 8 plus leather case it does feel different but that’s because it hasn’t had 2+ years of use.
