See what you are saying, but some people just return them for the sake of it. Some people on this forum bought the 12 just to play with for a fortnight until the Max came out and then returned the 12. Ridiculous!

it’s not ridiculous when you need a iPhone only to get pre approved

I just upgraded my sim only plan on EE.

I got a good deal but not as good as some people on here who managed to get further % discount on the same plan. The guy at EE said he couldn’t do it but did offer to reduce my second line by £1 and increase the data on it.

With EE you can request after 6 months for them to unlock it for £8 I think. From December 2021 this will be a thing of the past as networks won’t be allowed to lock phones anymore.
It automatically unlocks after 6 months, you don’t need to request it anymore.

Is the screen size of the 12 pro really that much smaller than the 11 Pro Max in terms of text and content display. I was so tempted to drop from the 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro because of the physical size of the phone makes it easier to carry around and a drop of 0.4" screen size seemed so minimal. Not that bothered about the battery life or camera.
I did just that, went from 11 pro max to 12 pro. I quite like the screen size, but a bit disappointed with the battery life. But, I only got it last Monday so it imay improve.

I am with EE but I find better deals by going sim only as I upgrade my phone every year. I do find their upgrade options are more expensive and they lock you in for a 24 months contract. Also the iPhone is locked to EE for the first 18 months.
Yeah i am with EE and the network is fantastic but as you say, their upgrade deals are awful. I have been on a sim only contract, unlimited data, text, mins plus lte watch plan and Apple Music for over three years. It just keeps rolling over and there is nothing that EE offer me in terms of loyalty or anything else that temps me to get a phone through them.

I understand buying multiple cases, then returning the ones which you don't want

some of you on here buying the 12/Pros last month with the full intention of returning it was a bit ridiculous tho x

I’d thought about doing this and have done it previous years.

When the iPhone X was delayed by 6-8 weeks I went through 4 iPhone 8 Plus’s. This was mainly so I could secure the price on 7 Plus that I’d sold. This time I just secured the price on Music Magpie each day.

Sorry, do not know much about this IUP, (I assume that is what you are talking about). But why do you have to have an iPhone, surely it can be done on a computer or iPad.

no the pre approved is for iPhone payments by Barclays

Seems ridiculous you need a iPhone to buy a iPhone when same app is on a iPad

Just found this in my cupboard is it the 20w adapter ?says a1696

My 12 Pro Max in Pacific Blue is coming Friday. Already have this case

Caseology Parallax Case Compatible with iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7") - Midnight Blue https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08BB634BN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_bg-PFbJC36V68?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

and screen protectors but have bought the Apple silicone case in deep navy to go with it. always prefer their cases even though they rubber peels off the corners. I usually wait until 11 months and if it is I take it instore and complain and they usually give me a new one.

I recall from previous iPhones it was always thought best to start it as a fresh new phone rather than restore. Is that still the case or has the restore been improved. Coming from a XS Max.
That looks really nice. I’ve ordered one. Thanks.
