what should I do with an Iphone X 256 but face ID doesn't work, keep as spare phone, ebay or a trade in site, don't want a rubbish offer for it, it still works fine
Still deciding what to do about a case.
Had the blue leather case for my 12PM which was nice, but didn't last very long. For the past 4-5 months I've just been careless which took some getting used to but fine with now. However now I'm getting out more for work etc it seems very risky...

I‘ve ordered the Midnight leather case for my 13 Pro - not really a fan of the colour but don’t like the silicone cases either as they are just dust magnets.
I‘ve had the Mujjo leather case on my iPhone 12 this past year and quite impressed with it so will probably go with the same one for my 13 Pro.
Agree, I would be very dubious about selling an iPhone on eBay, and I would never buy one from the site. I do not mind buying some stuff off of eBay, but limit myself to about £50. That is still a lot of money to lose, but, it is not the end of the world. To be honest I would rather lose a few quid on the Apple trade in, worth it for the peace of mind. To many shysters on eBay.
Also if you do end up selling on eBay, make sure you extensively photograph and document the phone you're selling in case they try and scam you. Images and video of the serial number, of it powering up etc.
eBay and PayPal heavily favours the buyer these days, which has forced sellers to clean up their acts, but has unfortunately penalised the good eggs.

You may know all of the below but here is a quick re-cap...
Yes, today is 'iPhone Pre-Order Day' where you can pre-order any iPhone 13 at 13:00 from the Apple Store, website or app. This year Apple have set up a new pre-order 'orders' system to save time which is not available now but you can just hit F5 at 1pm to get through yourself and pre-order.
Third party retailers should open up stock inventory today too like Amazon to also pre-order.
Official launch day is next Friday, 24th Sep when we'll receive our pre-orders (hopefully!) and all retailers will sell.
John Lewis, for example, will have stock available to buy at 8:00am online or in-store.
As 2021 feels more of an 'S' year with the 13, the general public may not be upgrading as much as to the 12 upgrade in 2020 so pre-ordering should be fine - but its always difficult to tell exact demand as a lot of people are on expiring contracts etc. or just want a new shiny toy!!

I have to email him when I get my phone so he can manually add my loyalty discount(I got that last year from learning about it on this forum)

The 10% loyalty discount isn’t a code, you just ask them to add it for you.
you can get a student discount code for a further discount (you have to buy that or get one from some nice people on here)
