Try Plunc - I’ve got £425 locked in for the same model

Tempted to try them at that price

With 10% voucher it’s £775
Me too. Where did you get the 10% voucher from? Also, that price is for "good condition". The "perfect condition" has to include all accessories unopened? With the 12 is that just the charging cable?

I've printed off the Royal Mail postage so is recorded delivery an option to add on at the PO?

I've sold before to Music Magpie with no problems but a mate of mine (who is extremely careful) said they said his iPhone had a scratch on. Something he 100% denies (I've known him for 20 years and believe him). Stories like this put me off. It's always stressful selling your iPhone. I once sold one that was in perfect condition only for the buyer to say it had a scratch on it. He sent a pic showing it. For all I knew it could of been a pencil mark.

When I first went into the site it came up with a 10% code. Think you get it when you sign up via email

And yeah perfect condition it seems is if you didn’t use the device. I’ve put mine as excellent as it has no scratches or anything.

Even if it comes with the label I normally just say special delivery and they just put a new sticker on at the post office

Smart10 is the code if you want that one

Well we are just waiting for the keynote announcement. I think it won’t go out until next Tuesday as it’s a virtual event. So announcement on the 7th and keynote on the 14th

some parts of the site suggest they send a "Send Pack" to you in the post, but they send you an address label via email.

either way these guys lock in for 14 days

I'm sorry but I don't trust any of these websites who say "we've locked your price at xyz" and then expect you to post your shiny phone to them for xyz stated price.

Royal Mail currently is a shambles (ordered a lateral flow test the other day which shows as delivered on their tracking page and yet nothing was delivered to me) so there's absolutely no fudging way I would trust them to deliver my phone.......

I understand where you’re coming from, but I can honestly say in over 10 years of doing this I’ve only ever had an issue once and the phone was returned to me without question. Had a couple of bad experiences selling through eBay so tend to avoid that these days.

Right, taking the plunge and selling my 12 Mini to get ahead of the influx of 12s being sold. Hoping the keynote goes ahead and the 24th is release date. Now 3 weeks of using a £10 burner phone ewwww.

Seem to be quite a few on here selling their phones to phone recycling companies for less - why? I'm expecting to get £410-£450 for my 64GB 12 Mini, but the best I can find on phone recycling websites is around £340.

I’ve used quite a few different websites over the years and never had a problem. While you might get more selling via eBay, there’s also more risk involved and you may end up with no phone and no money. If you aren’t sure about a website then both Google reviews and trustpilot will give you a good guide. Some of the big players are a lot bigger than people realise with MusicMagpie having a turnover of £153m and employing over a thousand people, so there’s little risk with these.

In terms of posting, I’ve never had a problem with Royal Mail special delivery. I posted my iPhone at lunchtime a couple of weeks ago and it arrived at 11am the next day. If you aren’t happy using Royal Mail there are plenty of other delivery companies you could use.

Well if going via eBay there’s a fee of 12.8% of the final price, so £410 to £450 would actually be £357.52 to £392.40 after fees if selling via this route. Whether the extra you could earn (£17 to £52) is worth the extra time and risk is a question only you can decide.

Just done a quick search and if your iPhone 12 64GB mini is unlocked then theioutlet are offering £385 on their website. Haven’t personally used them but seem to have good reviews.

Smart10 is the code for £15 extra at smart cellular 128gb pro max £710 have booked it in

That is a good price. Did you choose the 'Pristine' or 'Excellent' condition option?

I can only get the £710 price if I choose Pristine, otherwise its £690 for Excellent, which is still decent.

Only issue I ever had with Music Magpie was their 21 day window includes weekends. I sent a phone via special delivery, but because it got there too late on a Friday to make it into that day's inspections, it was held back until the Monday, by which point the value they offered me had decreased etc etc.

There's always Facebook Marketplace. You'll get loads of tyre kickers, but so long as you agree to meet in a public place so they can't trace you back to a home address, you should be fine. Bring somebody along with you for extra security and head straight to the bank after the exchange!

When I sold my iphone X to musicmagpie in February I used one of their ‘smart’ terminals (can’t remember exact name) in my local ASDA, having agreed price online. Terminal examines and confirms price and, if you accept phone disappears. Money was in my account by the time I got home.

Music Magpie offering me £695 for my 12 Pro Max so Smart Cellular a lot better at £760. Thing is, which is the safer bet?

Also, I'm running iOS 15 beta. If I factory reset that'll be OK won't it?

I chose excellent £695 and then £15 on top so £710 ,price has now dropped only thing I don’t like is on your order form it doesn’t mention the grade, so makes me think they grade it when they get it which I don’t like
