After a nightmare day trying to upgrade with EE, I finally have a Pro Max in blue ordered with delivery next Friday, originally wanted graphite but that was already shipping a week behind launch (I’m an impatient child).

Tip for anyone on Upgrade Anytime with EE, the tariffs are slightly wrong on the upgrade website hence the reason mine wouldn’t process, or this is at least the excuse I was given on the phone.

Well, luckily, at precisely 1pm today I was parked up in the Sussex Uni campus car park after ‘accidentally’ leaving my tools in the car in case of unexpected DIY jobs in my son’s Uni room so luckily, had time to put in my pre-order 😎

The Apple Store app kicked into life at around 1:03 today after seeing several ‘Almost There’ holding pages so kept killing the app and reloading and managed to get in before 1:05 to complete my order 😎 opting for a Delivery (it’s gonna be SO much fun tracking ‘Dave’ in his DPD van on Friday!!!!) 😂

Also, BOTH my Apple Leather ‘Midnight’ case and ESR Amorite protector pack arrived today, despite me only ordering BOTH yesterday - thats bloody good service!!!

The ‘Midnight’ leather case looks almost black but it isn’t and kinda looks like a very dark navy - it actually looks quite nice and will go nicely with the Sierra Blue Pro phone.

If people want to get an actual blue leather case, I would highly recommend the ones sold by Mujjo.

On a final note for this post, I have decided to sell my 12 on FB MarketPlace as they seem to attract a much higher price than anywhere else + it’s free to sell on there. I reckon I can easily get at least the £519 Argos said they would pay and seeing that the first iPhone 13 Barclays Finance payment doesn’t start for a month, that gives this time to sell my 12 and pay off the Finance on the 12….👍🏼👍🏼

I go to Sussex Uni myself, luckily my pre order managed to go through on one bar of 3G when I was chilling on Brighton Beach.

Surprisingly a very smooth experience. I checked back quite a while later and they were still available for pre order for launch day delivery / pickup so it seems like the inventory is quite big this year.

I had confirmation email with xko number. Yeah I am anytime upgrade and yes I have 14 days after I receive my new phone to send it back.

Where does it say this? It never said on the order page or while placing it, but it should have? Does any email say it?

first time I tried to upgrade it let me without any upgrade fees or even anything about sending my current phone back. I thought this isn’t gonna work and rang them. Yeah it was stuck in the system as the website hadn’t quite finished updating by the time I did my upgrade. It’s all good now tho got confirmation I have preordered one.

If you paid via ApplePay, this is likely down to your preferred shipping details in there

Check in Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Shipping address and change it there (for future)

As @Jinjin says, call Apple to change this order address though

The unfortunate thing is I’ve tried this before in the past years and they cannot amend address without cancelling your order and replacing it which means yes losing your place in the delivery date queue.

Yes I changed mine on the website and it updated on the app as well, you then get an email from apple to verify the change

If it’s like most other recent years then it’ll be fairly easy to buy stock in local Apple stores each day. My local store in Edinburgh restocked most models overnight in the days and weeks following launch.

Got my pre-order in for the Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro Max (128GB) with Amazon at 13:14.

They’re now saying “Delivery Date Pending” so hopefully I’ll still get it on the 24th September 😬

I got exact same at the exact same time lol. Was refreshing from 1pm until it appeared. Hope it comes Friday. Last year I ordered same time. Did not receive any dispatch email the following week - and they then cancelled as out of stock

3 Years ago ordered XS Max 256GB and took me waiting for delivery 4 half weeks due ran out of stock until restock it again i wasnt hurry knew that so many people wanted iphone etc

Find it weird how it’s so hidden. Had to dig round in the For You tab to find it. Maybe IUP will just be completely replaced by 0% payments next year?
