So I’ve seen Halifax give me a notification twice saying I’ve been charged, turns out the payment was declined twice on the wallet app. Any ideas as to how I can sort this out?

Make sure Halifax don’t block and then give Apple a call

So let me get this straight. You can get a iPhone 13 pro max 256gb on 0% interest direct from Apple over two years at £47.87 and 160gb sim only deal with EE for £20. That’s zero up front and £67.87 a month. Or you can get it from EE for £50 up front and £75 a month for 40gb.

Are other networks and contracts the same and if so why would anyone buy from a network?
Some people can’t get credit, or don’t want credit. The networks have always made a profit from these customers.

Now if you have a 20% perk discount code then you can get a decent deal.

Let’s not forget the small proportion of people that will get a new phone on contract and sell if for cash, a low interest loan.

Network pricing can be pretty outrageous. I know quite a few on here have been making use of 20%/30% discount codes with EE which actually makes it pretty competitive vs the interest free option without another credit search. Can’t speak for everyone but in my own case using the discount it works out at about £20 for the unlimited data over and above the interest free payment plan from Apple would have been

First time involved pre ordering within his thread! My phone is now preparing to ship, at which point do we all start checking FlightRadar?
No Point, from experience they all get shipped to Syncreon then sit frustratingly for a few days before shipping out to UK addresses so everyone gets theirs the same day even if they've been sitting for a day or 2 in a warehouse 😖😫

Exactly this! I think the only people who buy from networks either a) Don’t care how much anything costs or b) Can’t afford the phone outright

Yeah gave Halifax a call. Apparently they sent me a message confirming whether it was me that made the payment but I never received it. Called up and they sorted the issue so just need apple to take payment again

I've just checked the wallet app as i used Apple Pay and it's showing that Apple have tried to take the money twice and it's been declined. According to the bank they've not declined anything?!
