Quality Assessments are quick and easy to carry out at our SMARTDrop kiosks!

Each SMARTDrop kiosk is equipped with four high-quality cameras that we will use to inspect your phone.

Once you've placed your phone into the kiosk, we will carry out four different checks:

- A Device Check - this will verify the make and model of your phone.
- A Security Check - this will check your phone's IMEI number against the CheckMEND register.
- An Account Lock Check - we'll check if your phone is locked to your iCloud or Android account.
- A Condition Check - we'll verify that the condition matches that which you chose when placing your order.

Each check will display a green tick once it has successfully been completed.

If all of the checks are successful, we'll pay you the original valuation offered to you.

If your phone fails any of the checks, we'll either offer you a revised price which you can accept or decline at the kiosk, advise you to contact CheckMEND or provide you with some instructions on how to unlock your phone.
Very cool!

Weird! Went to EE to get my iPhone 12 Pro Max unlocked, entered the IMEI and it's already unlocked. Can't remember unlocking it previously.

Anyone sold an Apple Watch to MusicMagpie before? Do they need the band/charger or just the watch body? Very tempted to upgrade my S6 because of the redesign...

How much of a refund do you get if you cancel AppleCare on a 12 Pro Max

Locked in with MM at £725 and just spoke to Barclays and I currently still owe £764 on the device

I paid mine off yesterday and it was £749? Did you ask for a settlement figure?

I got this today from Smart Cellular to post mine off.

Thanks for this didn’t realise this was the case

I’ve always used the provided royal mail postage. Pretty sure I did t even need to print a label but get the post office to scan the QR code the provide. Always got there OK. Remember MM count the day the phone arrived as from when they scan it in and not when Royal Mail deliver it to them.

My last order was delivered by RM on a Friday but I didn’t get the ‘order recurved’ email until after the weekend. So those few days over the weekend count!

The sent me payment the same day. Order received email at 9am, payment sent email at 4pm.

Pretty sure they ask for the charger

Edit: they do

Ok if you add the upgrade21 code smart drop kiosk disappears as an option leave out the code and it appears how infuriating

I’ve read a couple of bad reviews for Smart Cellular so have decided to go with Music Magpie. They’re offering me £35 less (£725) for my 12 Pro Max but I’d rather go with a more reliable company. I’ve still not heard from anyone on here who’s used Smart Cellular yet.

Just about half way through the 2 year play so ~£115 or so I’d say
When I called and asked for a refund on Thursday, the refund amount was £112.21. I'm not quite sure how Apple calculate the refund as it isn't a straight count of remaining days or remaining months. I could get the correct answer if I calculated the remaining whole months (13) then any remaining days divided by 30, though even then it wasn't counting the remaining days correctly - in my case there should have been 20 remaining days but the figure is correct if you use 16 days. So the refund seems to have been calculated as 199 x ((13+[16/30])/24) i.e. 199 x (13.5333/24).

Edit. Oh sorry I thought you were talking about phones.
It says they don’t need any cables or original box on the iPhone page before you add it to basket. It says you include them if you’d like them recycled.

“You don’t need to send your charger, accessories or the original box, but please include them if you’d like us to recycle them.”

Yeah for phones you don’t need to send chargers but will for watches

Also. I’m assuming the cameras in the pro models are going to be exactly the same this year so may go down to a pro from pro max. I really like the size of the screen but it’s been a pain to use one handed and is heavy.

Same here. Upgrading from the 2020 SE to 12 mini (got a good discount on a new device thus why I didn’t wait for the 13), they said it could be due to factory resetting the device, which I have done a few times.

For those of you on iUP. Was the upgrade process seamless? i.e was it easy and all done online, with a pre credit check (like they do in the USA) or is it the same as signing up for the first time?
