Which Model are you getting?

For those curious, the 256gb 11 Pro Max unlocked in good condition is currently fetching £535 on Music Magpie. That's not too bad, where the depreciation has now slowed down.

Compare that to the 12 Pro Max 256gb unlocked in good condition, which is currently £695 on Music Magpie, and will continue to drop more quickly once the new phones launch.
 
Going for Space Black 13 Pro

Regret getting the 12 pro because it was not worth the cost over the regular 12 but this year it sounds like it will actually be worth it.

120hz, big improved cameras and BLACK steel.

Putting myself out there and saying "Hi" its great to see the regulars and if I don't seem like a regular it's because I really should post more! These are my favourite threads every year and I have been an avid reader of every page in the past years threads.

I am a launch day purchaser EVERY year, I've never sold a phone but they all get fair use. Me for a year, then to my partner and then to my sister before back to me as my spare games/music/camera for time-lapses and of course iOS betas.

I must admit the 12 Pro Max of purchase of last year seems frivolous given the lockdown and working from home, I'm likely to fall over myself for supposed camera improvements, I can only hope that I get to more concerts and gigs this year so I can appreciate new features to the max - I've barely had any reason really experience benefits of 5G since the 12s were launched!

Hella excited though!

I think you're right tbh

They skipped the 9 and I think they'll do it again here, no more S models either going forward.

I think the 9 was a slightly different as they launched the 8 and the X at the same time and used the whole '10th anniversary' to readjust the naming. I can't see them skipping 13 for no apparent reason (I'm not quite buying the whole fear of number 13 thing as they haven't avoided other numeral fears elsewhere).

I still think they should have continued with the Roman numerals and gone X, XI, XII, XIII, and now XIV. iPhone EX-EYE-VEE LOL🤣

Also worth remembering that 13 is only considered unlucky in western (I think mostly Christian, arising from there being 13 people at the Last Supper) cultures. What would we be up to in Greek letter variants, I wonder...? :D

Hello again all, I hope you are well 👋

2020 iPhone 12 Pro in blue has been flawless & still in immaculate condition - hasn't even seen a 5G tower yet!

so don't need one, don't much want one, but *probably* still will ... none of the rumours excite me so far & work have removed one justification / excuse by scrapping BYOD & dishing out 11s for business-use.

maybe it'll be down to the colour options!

On the upgrade programme, so will probably change my 12 Pro. 120 Hz is the one feature I’d really like - anything else is a bonus.

Although I do love the Pacific Blue colour of my 12 - haven’t got bored of it at all. The black/rumoured copper don’t really appeal. Would love a Pro phone in Product Red - surely it’s got to happen at some point!

If that bronze looking color look more Rose Gold, I’ll upgrade. If not, I’m keeping my Pacific Blue Pro Max for another year. This is the first iPhone I never got tired of. Usually around April, I’m bored and need a new phone.

Love my 12 Mini. Normally I'd be tempted (and eventually give in) to get the new model but the leaks don't suggest anything too exciting.

I'll still probably buy the 13 Mini as it's supposedly the last 'mini' model and should have better battery life. Will likely keep that for several years unless Apple bring out another device of similar proportions (unlikely).

So for me it'll be a 13 Mini (or whatever they call it), base storage. Undecided on colour, will wait and see.

Next priority will be a Caudabe Sheath case (hoping they do these for the 13!).

Jealous of you guys that can cope with a Pro-sized devices. 120Hz and Matte Black is so tempting. I just can't live with that size or bigger day to day in my pocket, too bulky/heavy.

I’ve always used Plus sized phones until the X came out and I was so happy to go back to a bigger phone.

I remember the iPhone 8 Plus which was my first 'Plus' sized phone - I had to remove it from my pocket every time I wanted to sit down as it was just too big to fit in there!!!!!!

I still do this with the 12 pro max especially at work. My pockets stretch if I try to sit down with it still in there 😂
