Which Model are you getting?

I'll be sticking with 265GB again, only using 98GB currently. Don't see my usage changing enough for me to get 512GB.

Sticking with 250. Currently only using 93 at the mo and have Apple One with 2TB.

Think I should keep 256GB… don’t think I need 512GB but with a baby on way in 5 weeks not sure if more space is needed for videos and photos. Think I have 126GB left of 256GB.
You'll probably be fine for another year at 256gb, unless you're using 4K for video?

My son is now nearly 3 and I have some 90gb remaining out of 256gb; I used to comfortably live on a 128gb device. Don't really want to move up to 512gb as the higher capacities tend to net less of a return when selling them on.

Save the £200 and put it towards the baby (I hear they're expensive, ha!). If you've got 126gb left, that should last you a while I'd imagine - and if you need more storage then paying £0.79 for 50gb or £2.49 for 200gb a month will still outweigh spending the £200 upfront.

Also, congratulations!

Ha thanks and yeah I’m sure it will be enough space.

22GB of films on my device as I never tend to watch on my iPhone anyway So could remove that to make space if need be.

I have 200GB iCloud storage it’s more due to videos was my main concern with the space as I tend to use 4K 60fps

Love my 12 mini so don't see me bothering to upgrade for the first time in years, I will be keeping a close eye on the 13 mini though.

What are people's thoughts on colour options? I've always chosen the dark (space grey/graphite) models with the exception of last year with pacific blue, as much as I've loved it, I've felt that it's limited my choice in terms of case colour combinations.

In the past, I've aimed for dark iPhones with a black case so as not to be too obvious taking pictures at gigs that don't allow cameras 😉.

I doubt I'll do a 'colour' phone this year as appealing as it might seem, but I'm debating whether to make a first time switch to gold or silver (and suck it up that the camera module is fairly obvious).

What are your experiences deviating from your 'usual' colour or do you like to swap it up year to year?

iPhones (5S & SE), iPods, iPad Mini and iPad Air have all been silver. If I could have afforded the upgrade I'd have gone for the Pacific Blue 12 mini - the purple looks more like lilac in the photos I've seen. So if there's a 13 Mini Pacific Blue that would get my vote. It might depend on whether or not there's a new iPad Mini in a matching colour... ;)

I’ve always had either Gold or silver iPhones, until Apple debuted the Rose Gold color option which was my favorite. From there I had a Space Gray X (which I hated), Gold XS Max and now a Pacific Blue 12 PM. Blue is one of my favorite colors so I’ll be holding onto my 12 PM for another year, unless Apple come out with a Rose Gold 13 this year. I tend to find dark colors boring after a while.

Matte black has my name on it

Is anyone on the IUP? As the iPhone 12 came out in November, we wouldn't be eligible for an upgrade until at least a month post launch?

I’ve a 12 Pro which is more than I really need. I do want a smaller phone so will look at the 13 Mini (or I may just get a 12 Mini). I’ll keep the 12 Pro though as the Pacific Blue is beautiful

I currently have a IPhone 12 Pro Max 128GB and I pay 79p a month for extra storage so I’m thinking of getting the 512GB model this year. Also thinking of moving back to silver from the blue.

You’ll always be better off selling the phone and paying off your IUP balance and Pocketing the cash.

Didn’t do the IUP last year as Apple started the 24 months interest free and pre order. Will crunch the numbers again but will likely the selling the phone.

I went from our and 11 pro max to a 12 pro and I don’t regret it in the slightest but although I am happy with the size and weight, I still miss the Pro Max so I shall go for the 13 Pro Max this year and keep the 12 Pro as a spare

I'm also on the 24 month interest free deal. Do you think we'll get enough from selling to pay off the balance?

Will likely try and sell my 12 pro max a day before the event on a comparison site as we know we get 14 days to send it through

Good buy tech is offering £800 at the moment. Quite good I would say

Plunc who I normally use only offering £695

Matt or jet black pro would be my hope. I have a blue 12, the colour doesn’t work as it has two shades. Have 90gb free so not sure whether to go to 512gb model

Good plan. I’m on the 24 month interest free deal. Not sure if I’ll upgrade yet ( always do!!) but a black iPhone and always on display will tempt me!

Need to sell for enough to pay off loan.
