Return it straight away and pick up in store on Friday

Ahh yeah thats the only issue, even with the box unopened you can't do a straight swap with Apple and need to refund/buy new

The other option is return it and wait 3 days(ish) for the refund and then pick a new one up, I doubt any will sell out

But then again its going to be in a case all year and you never see the colour anyway 😅
They can gift card it, in store so refund isn’t a needdd

Ah,

did you just order it online?

I ordered it on the phone on Sunday Afternoon and the woman on the phone said it was going to be 14 days for the blue and even longer for the graphite and gold colours which I thought was odd, I thought the blue would of been the most popular
Yep online almost as it went live

I'll be transferring an eSIM on EE. I hope the process has improved - I can only presume so, with the integration into myEE. I had to do an eSIM transfer early last year and was forced into going back to physical SIM and then eSIM.

I might give EE a call beforehand and see what the process is - EE is my work number and can't risk being offline. Vodafone is my personal number and the process is much smoother - on the Vodafone app, you just select eSIM transfer, it does the 2FA at this point and then e-mails and lets you download the QR code. Once you scan the QR code on the new device, only then does the old deactivate. And the new active within minutes.
I really hope there is no need to go back to a physical SIM just for transfer purposes…seems like a really bad way of doing things. I’m hoping the EE app makes it easier, but the process isn’t really documented anywhere.

I have a 13 Pro 256gb reserved for pickup at my local Apple store on Barclays 24 months 0%. Does anyone know if it’s possible to change to a different model and amend the finance agreement or do I need to start a entirely new agreement and cancel the first? If possible I’d like to try and get a Pro Max rather than the Pro.

I've not done this before. I'll be upgrading for an 11 pro max to a 13 pro max. Is there an advantage over a phone transfer compared to just ye olde icloud backup?
I chose phone to phone the other day going from my 12 pro to my 7+ and have had absolutely no issues, ive not had to sign into anything at all either other than my banking app

It says it takes longer but as I've had no issues with it ill be doing it again on Friday

No email re assessment etc but MM just paid me full quoted price £705.00. Such a relief.

Thank you everyone for your help :)

It would be starting again I’m afraid. That’s even if there is stock available for the pros in store for this.

They’ve be able to do it all in store for you if there is stock though, so just ask when you go.

I saw this in another thread. Thank you @dbrose:

YOU MUST have your old phone available and active as EE send an SMS to your old SIM (old phone if it is an eSIM or any phone with the physical SIM in) to activate the new eSIM.
  • Old phone - log in to EE app > Settings > Device and SIM > Replacement SIM > eSIM
  • Choose that you are moving to a new device
  • The eSIM QR code will be shown on screen
  • On new device scan the QR code and add the eSIM (the phone number will show 00000000000)
  • On the old phone click on activate SIM card, it will be there after you have scanned the QR code
  • Wait for SMS to arrive and type in the number (autofill should have the number for you to select)
  • Old device will lose signal and new device will gain signal
  • Turn the line off and then on again and the phone number should update to your number

Thanks, @scgf and @dbrose. This is super useful to know and way better than before.

Thanks, I’ll maybe see if they have Pro Max stock available or not on Friday and if not I’ll more than likely stick with the 13 Pro.

Camera with bigger sensors seem like very impressive shots.

Yes definitely, for me the 13 Pro Max is going head to head vs Pixel 6 Pro new cameras this year. I do like my Apple watch so I'm not switching to a Pixel but would be a interesting contest. Doubtful Pixel will compete with Apple's videography but the cameras could be a close call.
