Did you visit Ronnie's pop up shop in there this year? Was pretty good!

Luckily when I went in he was sat there in the corner signing things which was a nice surprise, first time ive ever met him. Shame about it being in may as we couldn't really have any photos etc due to covid restrictions

Do you unpair your watch before you back up your phone to your Mac?

That’s a good question and I was trying to think what I did last time. I think I will unpair first and then back up the phone. When I pair the new phone to the watch I should be able to go to the watch back ups and restore from there

I've bought a couple of these in the past, a lot smaller than the Apple 20w charger.

That is true, but I prefer the Apple ones especially when I need to pop one in my bag. The folding pins are great!

I did the phone to phone transfer though a few days ago with no issues, wear the watch throughout the process, it takes abit longer and you can't use the phone while its completing but I had no issues so will be doing this again

It prompts you at some point if you want to use the watch with the new phone (at this point im guessing its paired with both devices) and then it just carries on with the transfer. Take note my achievements didn't transfer over for another day but then they just appeared

I never unpaired my watch once from the old phone, the transfer finished and then I just did the usual turn off find my and sign out of iCloud to get the phone ready to send off to MM

I tried this before (not an iPhone though, Xbox Series X) and we ended up having two DPD deliveries - the paid upgrade (I believe it was River Island) arrived by 9am - but the Xbox came on a separate DPD van around 2pm. 😂 🤣

Has anyone who has to send their old iPhone back to Apple as part of the loan plan had their trade-in kit yet? I’m sending in my old 11 Pro but haven’t received the kit as of yet. Not overly happy I have to send back via the post as I’m worried it’ll get lost or broken (it’s a launch day 11 Pro in pristine condition). Spoke to a lady at Apple on Monday and she said that’s the only way I can trade it in.

The Apple trade-in kit packaging is pretty robust, but if you're worried there's room inside it to add a layer of bubble-wrap or similar around the phone before you seal it up. Used it a couple of times now with no issues.
