I have the XM4s and they are very good. As far as I can work out there isn’t a great deal of difference sound wise from the AirPods Max, as there’s a limit to the amount of information you can send via Bluetooth. They do come with an audio cable which may improve sound quality, though I’ve not tested this as have better wired headphone. The noise cancellation is very good, probably on a par with Bose and much better than my AirPods Pros, and they are relatively light without too much clamping force, which is useful if you wear glasses. They also come with a decent hard case and have usb c charging which is a useful feature.

The two downsides are the built in microphones are pretty rubbish and they are on the base heavy side, which is fine for general listening but I wouldn’t want to do any mixes on them as even with the EQ in the app, you can’t get a flat response. From what I can work out the only real advantage over the XM3 is fast Bluetooth device switching - by default I have mine connected to both my iphone and iPad at the same time, which is useful if you get a call and are listening to something on the iPad. Finally they do have an on/off button, unlike the AirPods Max, and fold a bit more if you want to travel with them.

Another EE customer here!

Mine has also dispatched and I’ve selected only one hour time window for tomorrow! Working nights so going to deliver around the time I’d wake up! Got the 13 Pro Sierra Blue.

Once again EE have done brilliantly, glad I switched over last year!

Good luck everyone, hope your dispatch notifications come though soon!

I loved my iPhone 5, used it naked with an Ikonic leather pouch. I disappointed a lot of people behind me in the queue at my local O2 store on launch day, by bagging the last one they had in stock, in black with 64gb storage.

My experience from prior years is that my dispatch notice and tracking number will not be sent until quite late this evening. I have come to expect it, although I do worry each year as I wait and the time drags on.

I changed my mind so ordered a Pro Max and picking it up tomorrow afternoon, so when DPD deliver my Pro, I won't be opening it. This will be the year they deliver really early I bet!

I did the same. Just checked and amazingly Ikonic are still going, although they appear to be on some sort of extended break at the moment (says on their website that they were going on holiday from July 21, check back in a few months!) and don't look to have updated their designs for any phones since the XS/XS Max.

just to bump this but when I went through last year's tracking day activity, this is what it looked like:

8.30am - first DPD app notifications of delivery but nothing from Apple and no updates on order
12.00pm - apple order status pages went a bit wonky and not available (ensue panic)
12.37pm - order pages available again, panic over, the world is good again... expect still no updates on orders
12.40pm - first confirmed Apple.com order update as shipped - Syncreon tracking on order page... let the post carnage begin! with this tracking people could see if they got UKmail too (no early notification from them)
4.40pm - DHL/UKMail texts went out with tracking working
5.41pm - the annual 'Why is my phone in Newcastle?' post when its just down the road near Hinkley (https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ers-and-dispatch-thread.2251576/post-29089512)
6.30pm - random typo by someone asking if DPD provide 1 hour sluts for their deliveries! 😂 😂 🤣
7.15pm - my instore collection status changed to ready to collect. people getting notification of 'ready to collect'
7.47pm - more dispatch emails sent out from apple.

I actually looked at the Ikonic website yesterday and noticed the same. I was a bit disappointed TBH as I thought their pouch would have been perfect for my incoming 13 PM. I will check back though.

Yeah I ordered

as long as it still says Friday delivery don’t worry there tends not to be movement until late Thursday evening

my last movement was my item is being packed which was Wednesday

I’ve ordered stuff from them before. Usually pretty good as sticking to timescales. Just give it some time.

Yeah, I had a couple of sleeves from them: both good quality. "We're off on holiday, see you in a few months" is such a NZ thing to do, be nice to have that sort of control over your work!

I cancelled because I got £100 amazon cert so can get it for £100 cheaper on amazon but not in stock atm happy to wait a week or two + 1.5 cash back so get it for around £1040, good deal?

Which Apple will never adopt. For a company that is famous for the iPod and music more generally, Apple is utterly useless with anything audio related. So disappointing.
 
I've ordered direct from Apple. Looks like I won't be getting a dispatch email till this evening, which is fine, considering it's not coming till tomorrow it doesn't really matter. :D

I presume they're all boxed up well in advance, given the money was taken out of my account days ago and, from experience with other online retailers, they don't usually physically take money until they're about to pack an item.
 
Here is my dilemma, last year someone in this group kindly gave me a 20% student discount code. When you add this on to my 10% second line discount I get 30% off my monthly line rental which means I pay £61. When I upgraded EE took this off me and I complained to the CEO. They agreed to honour the extra 20% for the duration of my contract.

I am certain if I upgrade I will lose the 20%.

On top of that, when I try to upgrade online it says:

Sorry, it looks like there are no suitable plans available for this device right now.
