Thanks to @dbrose giving detailed instructions the eSIM swap went great on EE!
Exactly this, thanks for the instructions. Mine didn’t go quite to plan as the EE app froze while waiting for the text message with code! However a call to 150 got it sorted.

My 13 Pro is a heavy beast compared to its older sibling, an XR but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I have 2 weeks to decide anyway before the return window closes. It’s not as heavy as my DSLR kit that’s for sure!

It’s been entertaining on here the past few days, I’ve enjoyed the company and the group anticipation. Thanks to everyone who posted. To those who have their new phone, enjoy. To those who are still waiting, I feel your pain and hope it’s over soon. I won’t be joining you all in the Watch S7 thread as I have a 6 so not upgrading. I also have an M1 iMac and a 2020 iPad Pro so hopefully no new Apple kit for a while, so I can finish paying for that which I have already. It‘s very addictive!

You need to go to the website, the app doesn’t show you the current stop but the DHL website will show you.

Nope.

Where are the rest of Gold Squad?

Started as a trickle of two and now it's a roar of twenty seven - lets see 'em!
Already posted mine, but sadly still having a super busy day at work, so apart from the 2 mins I get to check this thread every hour, no time to even remove the paper covering the screen on my 13PM Gold yet :(

Word to the wise, don’t try an iCloud restore on 5G. It said it had to stop a few times to let the phone cool down! It was very warm!

At one point I was charging with the MagSafe charger and the battery percentage was going down!!

I got a 13 Pro from the O2 store in Northallerton, as normal for that store, everyone was on the ball, polite and very smooth transaction. I upgraded from a 11 Pro Max and will send it to Mazuma who I have always used and find to be excellent. Really pleased with how things have gone today.

I swapped all my apps by putting the phones next to each other, it's the first time I have dont it, brilliant, wifi and all apps in the same place, phone and apps as I want.

Amazon people, I just got a revised date of the 26th :)
Previously 7th Oct - 11th Nov
Mine still says 8/10-11/11 :( I ordered it at 13:02 as well, I doubt I was that far down the list at that time that mine will actually take that long to turn up :(

So tried to take out APPLE CARE but shows as this device is ineligable Rang Apple they said it probably take 24 hours till i can take it out

soooo.....

I'm kinda contemplating not opening it today and doing it tomorrow when the armorite turns up so I can put it straight on....
Assuming you're planning to migrate things I'd strongly encourage you to at least get the migration running overnight because I'm currently staring at two unusable new phones with an estimated time remaining of 3 hours.

If anyone else is using device-to-device migration and is the same boat and would at least like slightly more info than the little "time remaining" estimate on the screen:

I've been poking around in the Console app with my new phone connected via USB, and if once you've got logs streaming over you do a search for "minutesRemaining", I think the amount transferred so far is bytesTransferred and the total it's planning to bring over is totalByteCount. Google will convert them into gigs for you.

Currently I'm at around 40.5GB out of just over 125GB, and that's with me sticking my new phone on top of the back of the old one in what I'm hoping is an acceptable WiFi speed/thermals tradeoff (I think it's skipping my router entirely). Seems to be going at roughly 11MB/s.

nice!!

I couldn't do that.. just casually open it in costas!

I'm usually speeding back home, into a nice quiet room, telling the missus I'll be unavailable for an hour or two and then setting it up.

just reminds me of that clip, for the X I think, from Australia where the new reporter interviewed the first person coming out of the store and he opens it live on TV and drops it straight out the box!

I’d be worried about someone lifting it!

Still no sign of my delivery, and even more worrying no update from DPD that it was even loaded into a van after arriving at the depot.

Hopefully it is on route and I’m worrying about nothing!
