I would take this with a grain of salt. I had the same message last year, they just didn't turn up.

Who else is going protector-less? Iused to always use one but decided not to on my 11 Pro Max ad apart from micro-scratches its faired well over the last 2 years. I'm not using one on my 13 Pro Max...... as I'm on the apple upgrade program with AC+, if it get's scratched badly, it'll develop some "intermittant fault" and get an express replacement 
I went protector-less on my 12PM and now have a visible scratch on the left side. Bought some ESR screen protectors so let's see how they look. I was very concerned about the extra weight over my iPhone 12 - but I'm pleasantly surproised. It is heavier for sure, but very much commensurate with the larger size. It will take no time at all to get used to. I rather like the way it doesn't flop around in my pocket like my iPhone 12 either. No issues here.
Ah man that sucks! I think it’s cause of the others getting there’s early and pushing in.
First impressions, its beautiful, heavy but not too bad like a good weighty type. Feels premium and sturdy I LOVE it and do not regret the pro or silver. Felt like Christmas but well worth it. All those waiting still, its well worth the wait just the slickness of the 120hz is amazing enough, currently restoring from my backup last week so cant wait to test out the beast of the camera. Concluding... today is a good day.

Gah, if that happens to me after all the time this is taking I am not gonna be a happy dogcow...Got to about 4.5 of 5 hours of the iPhone to iPhone transfer and then it failed haha, now restarting the process

I was all prepared to do this again next year…. And then remembered this time next year I will hopefully be in Orlando Florida on holiday so it won’t be release day for me.
I said this half jokingly, then realised how toasty mine were getting while in the middle of a long migration, and actually just grabbed a teeny little fan I have and aimed it at them. I'd take a photo but I currently have two unusable phones so you'll just have to imagine it 😉.
....how is it possible to have bubbles when using the provided screen guide in the ESR pack ?
Bubbles are due to user error - its not the fault of the product.
Use this method for a bubble free application (if you're not using the guide) :
I would actually place a third piece of tape on the opposite side in the middle and use that to lower the protector onto the phone instead of just slapping it down like he does in the video.

Yeah... is it OK to restore from a iOS14 backup or does the old device need to be updated before being installed on an iOS 15 device? (partner is on iOS 14 and will get my 12 Pro Max, it would be good if I don't have to update his phone before transferring his data)

Delivery update before I went to work at 6am said delivery before 10am. Cool.
Around 11 I ask the wife, has the phone arrived? No. So I check the tracking and it says it has been delivered and signed for by Mark at 0950. Checked the Ring camera, no DPD van or driver came to my door at 0950. Also, no idea who Mark is!
Wife posted a message on our neighbourhood chat, no one had taken a phone in. Great. I then call O2 to complain, they raise the case with DPD, upto 5 working days for a response from them.
Then just before 1400, DPD drops off the phone to the house. I haven't had a chance to ask the wife what happened as she's now sleeping before working tonight.
I was so angry earlier, but now I have my phone, which so far I've just opened the box, not even switched on, wow... its heavier than the 7 Plus! Time to back up everything and set this bad boy up!
