Apple Watch: This does NOT seamlessly transfer over (well, not for me it didn’t). As the watch was already paired to the iPhone 12, it first needed to manually be unpaired before the pop up shows on the new phone to transfer the watch across (all my ring activities carried across - someone was saying they had issues with this).

I still have to setup my new phone too. Was hoping my watch would transfer over seamlessly as I have seen others mention on here. I wonder why some people seem to get a prompt to move the watch, others need to manually unpair and re-pair. When I last changed my phone (iPhone X to iPhone 11 Pro Max) I has to manually move the watch too.

No problem, I’m actually using a different brand this year as they didn’t have the shock socks in stock. Just search ‘Olixar sock’ on Amazon. It’s literally identical other than the branding. Easy enough to get the phone out quickly if it’s ringing.

Just finished the transfer process - most of everything and all app info transferred to my new Pro 13 other than the blue MicroSoft Authenticator app. None of this info was transferred even when I re-signed into my MS account!! That now means I need to re-setup all my 2FA accounts again. Not a massive deal as I’ll just re-set them up as and when I need to and get asked on the relevant websites.

How will you sign in to those websites without 2FA though?

Ah right ok, yea, as I move in closer, the camera kinda does switch to a different mode so thanks for that 👍🏼 Do I have to use the 3x zoom in options or is that not macro mode?
The macro actually uses the ultra-wide (0.5x) lens. At the moment all you need is to move in so the phone is less than about 11cm away from the object, then it should switch automatically to macro. There is apparently going to be an option put in in one of the 15.X updates to manually switch from macro to normal and back so you can lock it in one mode or the other.

Yea, it’s strange how this is so random.

I‘m already signed into them. If you go to the settings I think you can choose to set up 2FA again - I know with Facebook, I just went to the Settings page and chose to ‘Edit’ the 2FA settings and it then showed me the QR code to rescan with my Authenticator app.

Finally got round to sorting out the screen protector on the 13PM. Got the mrs to do it as my gorilla fat fingers couldn’t be trusted

Also, forgot to say, the Midnight (black!) leather case looks quite nice on the Sierra Blue 13 Pro so may leave it on to see how I get on with it.

The Amorite glass protector also went on REALLY easily with zero bubbles or dust!

I would say that the only negative I have is the fact that the phone now wobbles when placed on a flat surface but hey, we can’t have everything!!

Amorite protector. 3rd attempt. Almost perfect apart from this.

I’ve been recently rotating between these four. My current one is the second one (blue mountains) - goes really nicely with the Sierra Blue

Edit: updated with the X-ray from the iFixit tear down for the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Added X-ray image for 13PM for those into that kind of stuff as a wallpaper

I’m finding that my ESR Amorite is collecting a lot of dust around the edges
I have this also, I think you would get this with most screen protectors though or am I wrong?

Im hoping after awhile it stops collecting as the the edges of the screen protector become less sticky. In the same sort of way my Apple Silicon case last year was an absolute dust magnet for about 2 weeks from new and then was absolutely fine

On another note, how easy are the screen protectors to remove when it comes to doing so? Is it just a case of getting your nail under it or is there some special solution you put on it to get it to come loose and easily peel off?

Ive got one of them squeegee card that came with Mous protecters i bought in past. Stick in one of the corner and lift gently. But yes finger nails should work just fine.

Seems to have the same problem as Fitbag, fit-wise, based on the comments. Fitbag let you ask for a few mms extra though (https://www.amazon.co.uk/fitBAG-tai...iphone+13&qid=1632669664&s=electronics&sr=1-9). Might be as easy to just buy one size up if you can!
