Set up my max Today the first thing what hits me is the pro-motion screen ,very impressive everything else seams quite subtle coming from the 12 pro max
seamless move over including the 6 series watch, amorite glass was a doddle no bubble trouble here luckily ,macro is very good the new live wallpapers are cool ,esim swap over was seamless ten bob well spent roll on 2022 Do it all again
Will send my 12 pro max 128gb off tomorrow £705 booked in MM

I also have 705 booked in for MM. but they need to have it by the 28th!

I noticed that too. Indeed very clever. Must be an iPhone 13 thing?

On a slightly unrelated note, has anyone used SCAN.co.uk? I ordered a MagSafe charger on Saturday at 7pm and it said Monday delivery. Turned up Sunday morning via DPD. Impressed!

Okay so I went and picked up my phone from the Apple store after work on Friday. That all went smoothly. I was 15 minutes early for my appointment and got seen five minutes early.

When I got home I was way to tired and it was quite late so I decided to setup the phone the next day on Saturday. I’d had my ESR Armorite screen protector put on at a kiosk in the shopping centre for a cost of £5 as I’m useless at doing it. I had also received an ESR hybrid Halolock ( there word for MagSafe ) on Friday.

Anyway due to family and personal stuff going on during the weekend I didn’t get a chance to set up my phone until Sunday evening. I backed up my 12 Pro Max to the cloud to be on the safe side and then did a phone to phone transfer with my 13 Pro Max. That took about two and a half hours at which point the 12 Pro Max was stuck at finishing transfer after an estimated 19 minutes.

The 13 Pro Max then continued to download all my apps which took a very long time especially as I have a lot including some large sized games 1-3GB in size. My Apple Watch had also been transferred over in the process which I then updated to OS 8.

Anyway once everything was done I decided to put my new phone in it’s new case. It’s only then I realised that the case the Amazon market place seller had sent me was the version for the 12 Pro Max and it wouldn’t fit. Needless to say I have a brand new phone all setup and working which I can’t use yet as I have no case that will fit.

So I’ve done a return on the case I got delivered. The right version isn’t available until Oct. 8th now as it’s out of stock. I’ve ordered a Spigen hybrid MagSafe case but that won’t be delivered until tomorrow. So I’m stuck using my old phone for another two days and I can’t use my watch except to tell the time as it’s already paired with the new phone.

So I’m not too happy about the issue regards the case. This is the first time this has happened to me and I suspect it’s because they don’t have specific packaging for specific case models and use generic ones. I know it’s not the end of the world but it’s still annoying.

Anyway I’m sorry for the long post and the rant. ☹️

Well….Amazon seems to have lost the package…
Was supposed to be here yesterday but then delayed in transit, now still no movement and Amazon say they can’t find it
It says the carrier collected the parcel 4am Saturday and nothing since

Yes, I think you can choose to disable that feature. Presumably that’s for those who are up to no good or just value their privacy 😂).

I sent my phone to Argos trade in on Saturday. I paid for special delivery postage so they should get it today and I will update the thread with any feedback once they’ve processed it. For me, the price I had from Argos was £60 more than anyone else so I thought I’d give it a go. Even if they won’t pay in full, provided they don’t knock more than 60 off then I’m still quids in. My phone is a launch day 12 pro which is in great condition so I’ll be interested in whatever excuse they come up with if they want to knock money off
