So do people generally use widgets on the Home Screen? Can’t seem to find a layout that works? Would love to see what people have done with theirs!
I have Weather and Carrot Weather widget stacked on Page 1 and also Fitness Widget on same page.
2nd Page I have Photos and News Widget.

Tried calling my local Currys/CPW to see if they still do trade-ins in store, but they never answer the phone.
They do, but only give you gift vouchers to use in store

You sure? I've traded in in-store previous years and they just refunded the cash onto my debit card.
Showed up on my bank balance after a couple of days.

Good luck Dino but be careful; there are a lot of thieves / scammers out there!

Thanks!

I've listed it as a 'Collection Only' and payment via Bank Transfer anyway - I know its limiting my market but I'm not willing to post a high value item with a risk that it could get lost (even when its shipped via Special Delivery - had this before) or delivered to the wrong address and still signed for (which also sometimes happens).

🙂

Will leave it for a week to see what happens and then decide whether to risk Argos @ £519 or MM @ £411.

No. I got banned last year over the ps5 launch

I've just checked on the EE forums which are crazy frenzy of emotion as you can imagine, I did manage to get a small and positive update though. It looks like orders are trickling through but the main day will be Wednesday when EE receive their next big shipment from Apple, I'm in the same situation as you so I'm hopeful but we will see.

Those people are jokers!
If you think those people are jokers, I saw an iPhone13 pro 1TB advertised on eBay a couple of days ago for £2800. I was very tempted.😂
EDIT still trying.

....no but had an offer to post it off to Nigeria!!!!!!
🤪😂

I had a woman who wanted to pay full asking price for my 11PM and asked if I would post to Birmingham (from London).
I said I would be happy to post after payment via Bank Transfer.
She asked me to post first and send her the postage receipt, after which she would pay me.
So I post an expensive phone without any payment whatsoever!!

I said that's not how it works. If she wants it she needs to pay first, although I appreciate its difficult to pay for something without receiving it her end also - so said I think we should just cancel and not proceed with the deal.

Received several messages about how I did not trust her etc.
How can I trust someone I've never seen or spoken to before??? lol

On the flip side I've sold several high value RC items (£1200 worth) via Facebook in the past too.
I offer the buyer my full address and phone number whether they ask for it or not.
I then generally insist they call me (to verify my number is legit) and that we have a chat about the item. With the above RC stuff we ended up talking for quite a while about general stuff not even related to the item for sale! lol
Anyways, he paid via Bank Transfer, and I sent the item off. All happy.

In fact, a year later he contacted me out the blue asking if I had anything else. Fortunately I did - just sent him some pics etc and he bank transferred the money across - no chatting etc whatsoever. Didn't even ask questions!
Send the item across, and all happy.

It all comes down to being open and honest with the buyer. Lies will come back to haunt you. A genuine buyer will appreciate the extra mile you go to put their mind at ease.

For anyone with a long delay until they get their nice new shiny phone, I notice Argos currently has same day delivery on a lot of the models.

I noticed there seems to be a lot of posts about people returning their phones.
Maybe Apple didn't provide enough of an upgrade to make it worth it?

I'd be interested to know from the people on here that upgraded. Do you feel it's worth it or is it just a nice to have?
Sheer 'sense of entitlement' from a lot of posters - that somehow Apple 'owe them' an amazing update every year ... Perhaps it's our growing culture of immediate gratification - and I appreciate COVID makes it harder - but why can't people just wait & go check the phones in-store if they're unsure?

I used to upgrade every two years & never bought an early S phone. More recently I'm more interested in the cameras, spend more time on the phone generally so feel it's better value, and also fortunate to afford one each year regardless of whether it's a 'want' or a 'need'. I've alternated between standard / large sizes recently, and have likes & dislikes for both.

For me personally after three days with 13 Pro Max;

- screen is the big win this time. gorgeous to look at, and the scroll / smoothness is luxurious.
- battery appears to be incredible so far, I'll easily be able to charge every other night (as with my AW6) on my usage.
- cameras seem improved from 12 Pro which I didn't like all that much - I am not keen however on the 3x telephoto & don't think I'll use.
- finish / appearance is spot-on. I went Gold for the first time & it's beautiful in the green leather case.

One day I think the gap will be close enough (for me) to take the regular phone over the Pro, and the weight of the Max will get the better of me, but for now I'm impressed & it's a keeper - albeit a bit heavier than I'd like!

can't find a widget I get on with on my two main pages - I've got them only on the 'swipe right' shortcuts page (?), four full-width options;

  • Activity
  • Battery with four rings (iPhone, Watch, AirPods)
  • Find My
  • What3Words
