....no but had an offer to post it off to Nigeria!!!!!!
🤪😂
I had a woman who wanted to pay full asking price for my 11PM and asked if I would post to Birmingham (from London).
I said I would be happy to post after payment via Bank Transfer.
She asked me to post first and send her the postage receipt, after which she would pay me.
So I post an expensive phone without any payment whatsoever!!
I said that's not how it works. If she wants it she needs to pay first, although I appreciate its difficult to pay for something without receiving it her end also - so said I think we should just cancel and not proceed with the deal.
Received several messages about how I did not trust her etc.
How can I trust someone I've never seen or spoken to before??? lol
On the flip side I've sold several high value RC items (£1200 worth) via Facebook in the past too.
I offer the buyer my full address and phone number whether they ask for it or not.
I then generally insist they call me (to verify my number is legit) and that we have a chat about the item. With the above RC stuff we ended up talking for quite a while about general stuff not even related to the item for sale! lol
Anyways, he paid via Bank Transfer, and I sent the item off. All happy.
In fact, a year later he contacted me out the blue asking if I had anything else. Fortunately I did - just sent him some pics etc and he bank transferred the money across - no chatting etc whatsoever. Didn't even ask questions!
Send the item across, and all happy.
It all comes down to being open and honest with the buyer. Lies will come back to haunt you. A genuine buyer will appreciate the extra mile you go to put their mind at ease.
