For future reference .. Did you pay RM extra for compensation upto £1000 ??
I don’t believe so. Just went to the Post Office, told the guy it was an iPhone and said I want to sent it Special Delivery.

Not sure how much SD compensation is in event of loss/damage but id imagine a lot more than the £100 Argos’s prepaid label was!

....I specifically told the Post Office I was sending off a phone so he said the £8.60 Special Delivery rate which I paid covers up to £1000.

Adding my name to those whose trade in phone arrived with Argos this morning 🙋🏻‍♂️ Sounds like they’ll be dealing with most of the forum at this rate 🤣🤣

I paid the extra £1 for insurance with 1pm Special Delivery postage, think I misheard the lady at the post office. Doh!

Has anyone had any experience with returns to John Lewis? I've got 13 Pro Max coming tomorrow for my partner but I'm worried it might be to big/heavy for her. Do John Lewis still except returns if the item has been opened?

No. Unless faulty or unopened.

If you've changed your mind about keeping your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase and we'll exchange or refund it.

By original condition we mean:
  • you’ve kept all original packaging and labels in good condition and the product can be resold at full price
  • you haven’t used the product
  • the product contains no personal data and isn’t registered to a user.

You're very brave...!!

When I took mine this morning and told the guy behind the post office counter that inside was a phone and so I wanted Special Delivery, he took one look at the pre-paid 48 hr label which Argos provide and smirked saying, ".....you shouldn't be using that service anyway for a phone".

That's interesting. Royal Mail back in the day wouldn't let you post anything that had a battery inside, even if connected and non-removeable. For years I've been lying and saying "it's a box of minidiscs"... ;)

I am not getting £660 for iPhone 12 Pro 256GB on Argos Trade-in website, rather I am seeing £495. How are people getting £660?
