I hate screen protectors and haven’t used one or attempted to fit one since the iPhone 4 days. Reading about how good these glass ones are nowadays and how easy they are to fit, I just got the spigen easy fit to try.
Installed perfectly in only a couple of minutes, completely hassle free. And it actually feels really good to use, doesn’t really feel like I’m losing out on the proper screen. Time will tell whether I stick with it but screen protectors have definitely come on a lot since I last tried them!

Hope everyone is still loving their iPhones.

Glad the “unlock with watch” bug has been fixed. Still got other fresh issues with HomeKit that haven’t been resolved though…

Here’s a photo of my happy little chappy.

Great photo.

Loving the ProMotion display. Looking at a non promotion display and I really notice the difference!

Which HomeKit bugs have you noticed?

Thanks!

Quite a few HomeKit errors ever since updating all devices to xOS 15…
  • Lost recording on multiple cameras for a week after updating. Had to power cycle all hubs to get recording back. Then recording stopped again this morning and power cycling all hubs fixed it again. Hoping it doesn’t keep happening but I’m not hopeful.
  • Home app keeps saying the HomePods aren’t connected to any Wi-Fi network even though I can control them and play music on them without issue.
  • My Sonos speakers are all asking for an “Airplay password” if I want to Airplay to them even though I’ve checked all Home settings to make sure no password is set. So at the minute I can‘t airplay to them!
It’s annoying because everything worked flawlessly before I updated…
I could try just nuking and resetting everything but I really don’t want to have to do that.

That’s a odd one with Sonos, no issues here using Airplay from my iPhone with my Sonos speakers.
I know, it’s driving me crazy. I’ve tried rebooting everything but nothing. A few google searches mentioned something about an MDM profile if using a company phone but I don’t have anything like that.

I’m getting sick of waiting and watching this thread. :(
Ordered my pro and pro max from apple on the evening when I got home from work on the 17th.
Still says 18-25th for both :(
Me too :( this thread is a good one tho ! Keeping me entertained while I wait 🥲

This guy has done a real good review on screen protectors for the 13 pro max. The ESR armroire one fails the test quite early on. It’s worth a watch. You can skip too the ESR one as it’s time stamped.
Personally, I’ve bought the ESR armorite one and I’m gonna use it anyway.

I'm curious whether anyone has taken their screen protector off or simply not bothered after traditionally using screen protectors, and enjoyed the phone as designed.

I've never used a screen protector and I've never broken, cracked, or scratched my screen (jinxing myself I know!), that said, micro-scratches happen if you look close enough and while it's never bothered me, I thought I'd give the Armorite a go as soon as I peeled the film off the phone, to be fair I'm impressed, but now I'm wondering if I'm missing out on 'an experience' what with the latest screens touting the lowest reflectivity ever and pro-motion making it feel like you're actually touching/connected with the content.

I know I could just have a go, then slap a new screen protector on if it's not as fascinating as I'm starting to think it might be.... but then my pristine screen no longer be untouched.

Wow that guy has put a serious amount of effort into making that video!

Never going to try without one again. I dropped my iPhone onto quarry tiles in Italy 6-years back & spent a day scouring the shops in Siena looking for a glass screen protector to put *over* the smashed screen temporarily.

It’s no fun picking glass shards out of your scrolling finger.

Yeah that is annoying.. I’m not getting a password prompt personally with my Sonos gear but I do see a few people reporting it on Reddit (don’t want to jinx myself)

In a similar situation where I can’t pair the new Find My compatible wallet with my phone and the only fix appears to be DFU restore.. which I really can’t be bothered to do. Will probably just wait for a software update and hope it fixes it.
