I'm not quite battery watching anymore but I have changed the way I charge my phone. I used to 100% it every night without fail (came from an XS). But now because of the unbelievable battery on the 13 PM and wanting to preserve the battery health I'll charge to around 80% in the evening and that's normally more than enough to get me through the next 24 hours.

Of course, on days where I know I won't be near a charger all day (that anxiety still exists) I'll charge to 100% before heading out in the morning

This is exactly what Ive been doing with the 13 as well!

It also has its own cellular service through EE (I think its literally only an extra £5 a month) and it comes in handy quite often when I want to pop out and don't want to grab my phone, which means I am still contactable in case of an emergency.

Yeh its £5 on O2 as well. I think I may add it back on. It does come in very handy for the odd occasion when popping out.
I also tend to leave my phone in my office at work, and when I wonder around the building I don't always grab it and take it with me - the watch comes in handy there too I guess (I dont use the work wifi just so I can use some of my data lol)

Same here, that's my new routine, I didn't watch my battery before but was a little disappointed the 12 pro max was down to 90% after nine months. I don't know if that was because of magsafe charging overnight or greater use of the phone working from home ...not calls of course, rather, playing podcasts all day while docked in front of me on a 7 watt Anker Wireless charger... Kinda disappointing as my XS Max which has been in constant use for 3 years (first year with me, second year with partner, third year for ios betas and daily gaming) remains at 85% before passing on to my Sister for its final year of service.

Although I use 'battery optimisation' I have to say I've never noticed it stop charging at any point overnight and continue closer to wake up time and I have a very consistent sleep pattern.

No not yet had a reason to have a plan for the same reason you mentioned.

Not many occasions I don’t have the phone with me… even when running I just have an armband with it in and it does the trick
Random non apple What do people think OF SKY GLASS announcement yesterday

Will defo be avoiding that. If the quality of the sky Q boxes are anything to go by, this is not bode well.

Most technophiles and audiophiles will want dedicated equipment and glass will never compete.

I can see small uses of people in flats etc where they can’t install dishes, this can give them the option for sky q but not much above that

I've not had any problems with my Sky Q boxes... I just wish they'd bring UHD to the mini's before they start faffing on with their own TVs...

I’ve got 3 mini boxes across the house and the amount of issues I’ve had with its internal mesh wifi clashing with my personal mesh has been insane. The limited ability to change wifi frequencies and channels (on both the q and Google nest wifi) has been a pain. Booster boxes and everything else tried and finally got a combination of tricks to get some stability. If you can hard wire them then that’s the best way to go.

The main q box has had years of issues with sound drop outs on live uhd broadcasts etc… the sky help forums are full of problems.

Great you’ve managed to avoid them

Sky glass does have its uses, when my TV has run out course I will consider it, by then we should have a better idea of how it works in the real world. My LG OLED is less than 1cm thick and the Glass in comparison is HUGE!

Every year I think about getting a Watch... then every year I remember that I haven't worn a watch for over 15 years. My house was burgled and they took my cheapo Casio (which I loved) so I wore an analogue wtch for a while, until the strap broke. I just don't think I could have one on my wrist now, unless the Doc says there would be benefits for health monitoring.

As for SpySky Glass... no, thanks.

Exactly. I’ve got the lg wallpaper WX series and it’s beautifully thin less that 4mm .. I stare at it with the tv off

Ah that’ll be why it’s fine for me. My two minis are both hardwired and I’ve got the Wi-Fi turned off. I’ve got no experience of using them with Wi-Fi.

I was tempted by glass’s but seems I’m there only one lol
If my TV was older I would definitely be interested. The operate it the way they do their mobile section, interest free payments, can trade in any point after a certain time in the contract and if you decide not to, you pay off the credit agreement and keep it. Its actually not a bad deal, £17 over 48 months, think its around the £850 mark for a 55" 4k QLED TV.....! The way I understand it too is that you only have to keep the base subscription active - I may be wrong though.

And the comment about 'spy' glass - oh my word. Cant wait for photos taken on your new phone of you wearing a tinfoil hat!
