Which Model are you getting?

You'll have to call Apple to cancel apple care: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202704

you'll get a pro rata refund from apple from the day you cancel, not the month.. the longer you keep it, the less you get back. I wouldn't expect that different to be much though.. a few quid maybe.

to pay off Barclays you need to call them (have your agreement number ready): 0800 15 22 888

Just to add, Bare in mind any refund off AC+ goes direct to Barclays

its like they've taken the existing design and then rather then flattening the screen within in that footprint, they've gone and stuck on a flat block on top!

surely not Apple?!

those cases that are on the Internet atm do sadly line up to that shape :(
Yeah someone definitely phoned it in on this one

Has there been any rumours regarding how long the battery life might be?
I can get a full day out of my S7, but would be fantastic to get more.
Nope for some reason, surely it should be one of the major talking points but I can’t see them touting a watch without AOD as that eats battery life.. unless there’s a specific watch face that has been designed to extend battery life..

First time getting an iPhone in 10 years.
Still deciding on PM Vs Pro...I feel like a smaller edition might suit me as I have an iPad for main consumption needs but the camera experience would be so much better on the PM.

Going to the store today to try the PM. Am coming from a Xiaomi 11T Pro and had no issues but I do envy portability.

Get both and then return one after you've decided which one to keep.

Cannot wait for SIM cards/SIM slots to go away. They take too much space in the iPhone and its really an outdated system. eSIM is the way to go and Apple has to really push for it this time round. Make it easier to transfer to another eSIM contract when travelling too.

Apparently Apple's eSim implementation is proprietary and not to GSM standards - so I guess what I'm saying is that it won't be easy to transfer to carriers outside of the big ones.

I think somehow one of the flagship features will be battery life with the pro watch. Not sure how they will do it but it’s one of the reasons why people buy Garmin.
It is, but it’s also the software. Garmin isn’t brilliant but it’s better than Apple - at least with Garmin it’s all in one app - with iOS some is in health and some is in fitness (and in fitness it takes a while for workouts to show - although that will change with iOS16).

I do about 20 hours of swim, bike or run most weeks and there’s no way I could use just an Apple watch so I‘ve always used Garmin too. Battery is vital too, me and about 2,000 other - largely Garmin wearing - people are doing Ironman Wales this Sunday (and because of that I‘d have actually preferred the announcement to be next week) and it’ll take about 12 hours - there’s no way to do that with an Apple Watch but it won’t use half of the Garmin battery. The rumoured Pro will need at least double the current battery to make it worth thinking about for me.

They initially tried to offer me £4 until I told them to check again
What was the condition of your case? I don't think I will get £18 if I sent mine (they always try to find some faults) its got some used condition on it. But looked after well not been bashed around.

Does everyone have spare phones lying about or do you all order from somewhere and use it as a burner phone and return it back? If so from where?

I have a work phone this time round. Last year I got a burner from Amazon and returned it.

ESIM implementation is so good in iOS 16 just a shame that none of the U.K. operators will use Apples method of sim transfer.

I've just stumbled onto this thread - and even this forum actually (been an outside lurker but often used a different forum but thought I would sign up here now I am living in the UK).

I've had a few iPhones myself, an iPhone 5, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 12 and iPhone13 Pro.

Gonna wait to see what is announced this week.

:)

Glad I convinced myself I didn’t want the Pro Watch when it was rumoured, that thing looks hideous.

Think we’ll maybe have three models next year
Series 9: Same design as we have currently, just on the cheaper side.
Series X: The heavily rumoured flat edged and flush screen watch we’ve seen around for a few months.
Pro Model: Slight improvement from this years Pro model.
