Well my spigen case arrived and as the photo shows the iPhone 13 pro camera hole is a lot bigger than the iPhone 12 Pro (old ESR case for comparison on the left)

Yes had my 12 pro max gold since launch still looks stunning now and was set on going back to black but will probably will go for gold again it’s a thing of beauty
The gold really is a severely underrated colour, I don’t think I’ve actually even seen anybody with it in person

I think the issue is that it looks so nice everyone seems to say it looks ‘too bling’ for them 😅

now I’m back on the Apple store thinking..do I get gold instead of my original plan of silver? I considered gold for the 12 but went with graphite in the end

I can’t decide whether to use the Barclays finance or whether to buy outright so I’ve now got 2 pre orders saved, one for each. Having just applied for the finance, I added apple care on and noticed that was added on to the finance (I did not expect that). If I wanted to pay off the loan in a year then I’m guessing I would need to pay off all of the apple care too so would I end up paying for 2 years of apple care but only actually using 1? seems a bit strange…

If you’ve never gone gold before I would say go for it,honestly when you break the seal and take the top off it glows the band is stunning
but then you put it in a case and it takes the shine of it, but protection is key for me anyway now and again I take the case of but only when I’m protected by a 11.5 tog duvet lol ,but for a while it’s like holding a bar of gold.

So I'm planning to send my 12 to MM for trade in and will be almost without an iPhone for a week as will be using an android phone, will I still be able to use my apple watch without any iphone connected to it?I'm not bothered about notifications, I'm concerned about the workouts etc

Cases; I usually end up buying far too many. Always get the Apple Leather case but also like a super thin case, a leather wallet case and a Caudabe one.

What about you lot? How many do you get and which ones?

YES - yes you should!

And just like that in the space of 15 minutes ive been on the apple store, watched videos on YouTube of the 12Pro in gold and now changed my 'pre-pre order' in the Apple store to a 13Pro in Gold🤣

Consider it done!

For the 11, 12 and 13 I based which colour to get on how the camera cut out contrasts with the case I buy

So for the 11 Pro I had it in Silver with a saddle brown, 12 Pro I went Graphite with the dark plum apple silicone and for the 13 Pro its now looking like Gold with the Dark green leather

Wait, how did you do this? I’ve got an amount outstanding but I can’t reserve one to pick up when I clear the balance in store
Went into the apple store app did the pre pre order, got my loan authorised. The app says come back on Friday to complete the order

you can cancel the apple care and get a pro rata refund

If you don’t claim on the AppleCare you can refund the unused amount. So sell the phone in 12 months and you’ll get half the Applecare money back.

Yeah I initially went with the gold 12PM, without doubt it’s a stunning colour on the edges and round the cameras. I do think Apple should have done more with the back colour as its more beige than gold in look, reckon they were trying to make it more subtle compared to the edges which are proper gold luxury flash.

In the end I settled on silver for the classic, clean look but still looks luxurious.

You def. can‘t go wrong with gold or silver!

Also a tip I can recommend is to order the Spigen EZ-fit screen protectors of Amazon while you can. They’re fantastic at what they do and vital for keeping your screen free of scratches if like me you get the new model every year. They sold out around launch time last year so I’ve ordered mine already. Still deciding on a case - if I go for one at all!
I bought one. Amazon had a decent deal yesterday for the protector and a case for around £15
