I am on EE SIM only and have a physical SIM - is it worth changing over to eSIM? Probably wait though until after launch day as their (very good normally may I add) customer service will be rammed
I’d do it; I did it with EE a month ago, and my account became weird with upgrade problems which calls to EE didn’t resolve.
The transfer for me should be easier than a physical SIM, but I’m more tied to EE now.

Doesn't feel nice and soft, just a really hard material case. Have the Midnight Leather for 13 Pro but don't think it's worth getting it again. But Umber colour is looking good!

When she spoke to her bank did she speak to their second level team? I've had a similar issue in the past with a purchase, the first level agent I spoke to said their wasn't a block and it wasn't till I spoke to their 2nd level that I got someone with the right access level to see it.

If I just copied over everything as is to my new device it would be indistinguishable from the previous phone (ok dynamic island aside) and the realisation that my life will continue and the phone continues to do the same thing it’s always done, hits home sooner!
Not that I’m aware of. they manually input a different card and it just worked. It was one of the cards we were trying yesterday.

EE support eSIM Quick Transfer so it is possible that you will be presented with the option to convert your physical SIM to an eSIM during set up (as long as you have inserted the physical SIM to the phone) https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT209096
Alternatively, you can very easily swap from SIM to eSIM via the My EE app. It will download the profile to your phone, but you will have to first have inserted the physical SIM to the phone because they send a confirmation text with code for verification before proceeding to the swap. Once complete, you can remove the physical SIM and throw away (I also destroyed mine).
There is the option to receive a QR from an EE Store or via post after requesting in telephone CS. But I don't see these options as convenient anymore.

I think you haven't lost your spot in the queue. I completed my payment about 30 minutes after pre-orders started due to similar issue and the dates had already slipped. But I am seeing "Delivers Friday 16 September by Express Delivery".
