I also processed my MM order today. We both have 21 days to send it and for them to inspect/sign off.

I will be sending mine on Saturday 17th at which point I hope to have the new one up and running.

They use RM Tracked 48 so even with delays they will likely receive within 5 days.

However no more RM strikes until the 30th now so should be normal service.

Thanks for clarifying, all the best.

Oh that is ridiculous.. they’re meant to do a sim swap to an eSIM.

Please complain, this service falls well below the standard
They were about to do just that... Until I asked what happens to my number on my 12PM and they said it'll be disconnected straight away. They said I could just go home and scan the QR code this afternoon and it'll transfer to the new phone. I pointed out that the new phone doesn't arrive until Friday so they said I could take the ESim pack and activate it via customer service on Friday.

In the past when the O2 shop has given me an eSIM pack the call centre has later told me they are unable to activate it and can only activate ones they sent out by post, and I've had to wait days for another new one to arrive. Apparently only the stores can activate the store eSIMs and are supposed to do it when they give it to you.
I'm sure when I moved for the 12PM I did it via the CS line and they sent out a QR code that I activated online.

I think I'll be calling O2 CS in the morning and sorting this out but also complaining about the store.

Aaargh. I didn't know that you could do that. I have used MM a lot and like them. I checked the trade in price of my 13 Pro Max a day or two before the launch and it was great but then dropped I think by about £80 after the launch. If only I'd know that I could have locked in the price for 7 days and then, if I understand your post, had another 21 days after confirming to actually return it I would have done that. Still, at least I know for next year. No mail issues for me because I am within walking distance of a MM drop off box, a new feature since last year I think, so it makes MM even more attractive for me.

After speaking with EE customer service in regards to transferring my physical sim to an eSIM, they said that I can get an eSIM from my local EE store, and activate it on my current iPhone straight away via Settings > Mobile Data > Add Data Plan.

Then once my iP14 Pro arrives I can then transfer that eSIM easily through Apple quick start on my new iPhone.

There is a video on this page explaining how to transfer to new phone…

Did you not get the option of the smartdrop? Take it to an Asda where they are as they now accept 13 iPhone’s.

On Sat I’m hoping to do that after the transfer process.

That’s a shame but hopefully next time you can secure the higher value.

There is actually more to it, so you can value your device and the “save the order” for 14 days and then add it to basket to checkout which then gives you a further 21 days to send it in.

In my case I valued my iPhone 13 Pro 128gb 13 days ago, checked out today and now have 3 weeks to send and for them to inspect within that period.

MM are great and thanks to everyone’s tips on this forum if you get in early enough you can get the maximum value possible.

I did get that option but was a little reluctant as I haven’t used before. Is it more of an instant payout that way?

Just had a notification to get ready for my new iPhone… only 4 days until Friday!

I got that too a little while ago.

You don’t need to go to an EE store to do it. As long as you have the EE app you can just do it through that

I completed with MM on 3.9 so does that mean I have until the 24th for them to receive the phone?

They need to receive and inspect by the 24th so they ideally need to receive a few days before.

Most people here have had same day inspections and confirmation of payout once received by MM.

Would you mind explaining the process, I think I have it right but would like a confirmation.

I believe everything is done via the ee app on your new phone, but you need your old phone for the confirmation code they send you via text
This has been explained several times now. EE support the iPhone eSIM transfer to another iPhone. You should be given the option to do so while setting up the new device from iOS. If that doesn't happen you can use the My EE app to issue a new eSIM.

What is everyone doing for charging?

I've been using an old Qi charger overnight with a 10W Apple Power Brick for years but as my 12 Pro battery is down to 86% battery capacity after 2 years I have been doing some reading and found it might not be a good idea to leave a phone on charge overnight vs fast charging as and when necessary.

Been looking at maybe treating myself to an Anker Nano II 65W coupled with a Belkin Boostcharge Pro with MagSafe for the new phone...

Thanks for this!

I spoke to EE online earlier and he's sent me a QR code through the post to activate mine so I'll keep you updated!

Failing that - I'll pop in to the local store!

I’ve a MagSafe charger in my office and a Belkin that was exclusive to Apple.

I find it annoying that the phone doesn’t sit flush with the Belkin

I’ve never used it, but has been discussed in here. Yes it’s pretty much instant as the cameras inside apparently check it there and then.

No waiting of postage, worries of checking condition, it’s down there and then. I’m going to try and see if I can do this way, but I’ve already got it saved in basket and not sure if that option appears when actually going to seeking basket.

I'm sure I'm following the correct steps on mine, it just won't activate! I tried a second/third time after phone resets earlier and it wouldn't complete!

Hi all, new here. I have my first ever iPhone ordered, the 14 Pro in purple with a midnight leather case and S8 45mm watch, expecting them to arrive on Friday 16th.

Long time Android user and currently have a Note 10+ which I’ve now had just over 3 years. Looking forward to the change.
Welcome to the mad house

Went for the Pro Max in Deep Purple 256Gb (from 13 Pro Max 256 Blue). Got into the app after about a minute and received confirmation email at 13:02. Delivering on launch day. Clear case to cover it but I usually only use them for the first month 😅

Might also have gone for an Apple Watch Ultra (upgrading from Series 6)
