What is everyone doing for charging?

I've been using an old Qi charger overnight with a 10W Apple Power Brick for years but as my 12 Pro battery is down to 86% battery capacity after 2 years I have been doing some reading and found it might not be a good idea to leave a phone on charge overnight vs fast charging as and when necessary.

Been looking at maybe treating myself to an Anker Nano II 65W coupled with a Belkin Boostcharge Pro with MagSafe for the new phone...
I've been using a 10W Apple adaptor with and Anker cable. 12 Pro is on 98% health after 2 years but I'm a light user. Battery only has 98 cycles according to Coconut Battery. I normally charge during the day. If I'm overnight charging I plug my phone into a powerbank on the 1 amp output so the power is cut off once the phone is charged.

Wireless charging is massively inefficient. You lose a lot of energy as heat. Only benefit to it is that you don't have to unplug the phone.

Hey everyone!

I’m hoping to purchase from Harrods to get points - am I right in thinking it’ll be available in-store from Friday 16th?

Do you think I’d be too late if I went first thing on the 17th?

Work won’t give me the time off!

Anyone know how trading in an old phone works when FIRST signing up for the Apple Upgrade Program?

I’ve got a MagSafe charger which I use at night

I'd try them again. I called 150 and went through to the upgrades team and had no problem when giving them my Perks at Work code. They took the code from me and the 20% was applied on the contract they showed me to approve.
Tried again and they just say it doesnt work when they add it. They said I need to create a code through their perks portal rather than the perks at work one.
Annoying as the sim only package they are offering me isn’t available online.

For those who had issues with payment, how did you end up fixing it? I keep getting this message: Authorization failed. Please verify your card information or choose another card.

I tried with Halifax, had the message to approve on my app and didn't work, tried with Monzo, got the same message about approving on the app and still got the above message. Tried on Safari and Chrome.

Looking at transferring my Esim from my 12 to my 14 pro Friday. As far as I can see I need to do it from the ee app on the new phone, I will get a confirmation code sent to the old phone which I punch into the new phone and it should then just move over. That’s how I understand it any way
I believe that is pretty much it. I converted my physical SIM from the EE app and text authorisation

You need to phone them to pay.

I’m probably going to switch my contract to Vodafone this year. They offer an eSim option but I’ve never had one, does anyone use an eSim as their only Sim? Is it a smooth process? Any issues?

O2 e-sim shambles for me.

Visited an o2 store on Saturday to pick up an e-sim pack. Took a bit of explaining to store staff what I was after. Once that was sorted I was given a 4G esim pack and told to call customer services from home. Basically they just wanted me out the store.

Saturday morning via o2 chat I tried again. Explained I had a new phone on the way and wanted a 5G esim pack sent to me in the post. Success !

Then this afternoon. My 13 Pro changes to ‘No Service’ - they’ve cut me off.

So. Third interaction with o2 was a phone call to try and get my deactivated sim enabled again So I can use my phone this week. Told that was done. Still not working this evening so looks like another trip to an o2 store tomorrow.

O2 really don’t seem to be setup for this. And there is a lot of confusion from the staff.

Hmm. I had a similar experience with an O2 store today. I'm going to call them tomorrow. Fingers crossed it works...

I'm sure I'm following the correct steps on mine, it just won't activate! I tried a second/third time after phone resets earlier and it wouldn't complete!

I also followed the steps on the app but never got the download option on the app. Someone here earlier mentioned the steps to take in settings on the phone but I can’t find the post now. I followed those and was able to download the eSIM and complete the process.

The two options on the app are ''Activate my SIM/eSIM' or 'Replace my SIM/eSim' - do you know which one you went through to get it to work please?

Just been charged for my phone & AirPods! Apple Watch was done on a separate, earlier order & hasn't been charged for yet!

iPhone 14 Pro Max on the 16th
Apple Watch S8 on the 17th

I don’t think anyone here can answer that especially with a store like Harrods as it’s not the usual place most here would go to buy an iPhone. It’s anyone’s guess what their stock level will be. You’ll probably just have to take your chances if you want to but from there.

You've also got Apple Brompton Road about a 30 second walk up the road too!
