EE chat are only good at applying loyalty discount.I have had a lot more luck with the Web Chat from EE - took about 35 minutes to get through on the phone, they told me that they couldn't tell me anything, and that there was 'no such thing' as an order number beginning with 02; got through to web chat much quicker and they were able to give me the details immediately lol:

The watch being able to charge off of Qi/MagSafe would be nice.

Or maybe if the Watch could charge off an iPhone MagSafe cable? It would look a big goofy, but I think a watch charger on the back of an iPhone would look even more silly. 🤣
Convenience of the cable for sure, but being able to transfer large files much faster will be a huge benefit. Especially if it’s for a non Mac based system with no AirDrop, the USB-2 speeds are just not good enough. Assuming 8K becomes a popular format soon that would make it much worse if they stick to the current connecter speeds.
lets hope so, i spoke to an employee at the Apple store and they said all store stock has been reserved already
I can almost guarantee if you call them back, you'll speak with another "....very helpful lady" who will say that your order is arriving in a week's time by UKMAIL!!!

Oh believe me, I don't trust anyone who has even a slight association with EE (and that includes customers such as myself), but at least I managed to get the order number that the phone team told me didn't exist!

I didn't pre order on Friday , checked and delivery is now 13-20 October , i have no problem going to collect from my nearest store Solihull, at the moment its not available for collection, am i right in thinking that the collection date at the moment would only be the 16th anyway, and possibly will go live to collect after that , stock permitting.

From personal experience, I honestly wouldn't pay too much attention to what EE advisors state and that includes those supposedly "higher up" in the "executive" office.
Can't recall if it was the 12 or 11, I couldn't track the order, no confirmation e-mail, no upfront payment so couldn't check if anything was taken etc. I called a few times and eventually a couple of days before the release date, I was told by the "executive office" that they'd had stock issues and I wouldn't be getting it on release date. He was supposedly looking at a "stock matrix" and could see what was due and when. I was given a discount on my plan, money back into my bank etc. and it turned up on the release date via DPD. Go figure!

I think they do this because they get some sort of commission
Or they have XKO numbers and the Order isn’t actually placed
So in summary, EE might tell you that everything is fine but you end up getting the phone in November, OR they might tell you that everything is f*cked but you get it on day one, and any possible combination in between.
