What model are you getting?

I can't decide which case. I REALLY fancy the orange leather but I'm a bit worried about discolouration. I normally go silicone but my blue jay case for the 13 pro went all shiny pretty quickly and it started to peel a few months after that! Anyone have experience with the brighter leather colours? I don't mind a patina developing after a while just not straight away!

I had to speak to customer service regarding another issue. The woman could see on my account that my upgrade was pending launch day so should expect the iPhone on Friday. Here’s hoping

I got orange. My golden brown from last year took quite a while before it started getting patina.

Not iPhone related but I didn’t know if any of you knew this. With watchOS 9 Apple added all of the the Nike Watch faces to non Nike Apple Watches. See the above screenshot from an Apple Watch Series 7 45mm Sport (Non Nike)

If we can now get the watch faces and buy the bands separately are there any other benefits to buying the Nike watch version or is this the start of it being phased out?

I don’t mind Lightning at all and I do love how durable it is. I work with Macs in a corporate environment and it worries me how worn out the USB-C ports get on them. They eventually become quite loose and crap-feeling.

I usually only travel with my phone, AirPods and watch, so not having USB-C isn’t a bother to me. And we’ve got loads of Lightning cables at home and in the office. And I usually charge via wireless anyway!

I work in IT support and definitely agree that Lightning is way more durable. I hope Lightning stays and USB-C is totally skipped and we go straight to a port-less, sim-less IPhone. Especially as it will piss off the EU lol 😂

I got the California poppy colour with my iPhone 12PM and I must say it lasted about 2 months before it started discolouring on the edges, I took it off then went back to it earlier this year and it then really went downhill quickly with it peeling after only a couple more weeks probably due to the age of the leather being sat out by that time.

For this phone I have just got a cheapo spigen clear case to begin with and a screen protector as I know me I like the feel of just the phone so will have them removed after about a month I reckon🤣

I went with the same colour for my 12 PM and it started looking scruffy very quickly, the corners are now an unsightly dark green / black colour and it looks awful. Not good for the price.

I had the saddle brown for my XS Max before it which I loved, but to be honest I’m not sure I’ll be getting another leather case this time round.

You’ll get it, phone carriers are always anonoymous on their dispatches, happened with o2 every year when I used to get phone contracts and magically always got a dispatch email on Thursday night; Friday early am. Never failed to get it on release day.

All four colours look great, to be honest! I noticed the gold was tweaked for the 13 Pro versus the 12 Pro, so I wonder if it's a bit different this year? It's hard to tell without putting them side by side. I know the silver's back is more pure white this year.

See you all tomorrow. Its been both fun and sad day today.

Carrying with our shenanigans in here is always highlight of the iPhone launches.

And watching sons and daughter saying goodbye to their mother, leaving her home for the last final time also put things into perspective. Live your life to the most with your loved ones.

I guess you get the Nike band with it rather than needing to buy it extra. Personally prefer the Nike sport band to the normal one
