It's wild how far we've come. Bye bye 13 Pro, hello 5S for the day!

On an unrelated note, no tracking for Joseph so I think I'm DHL via O2 most likely. Jealous of you Apple.com people!

Never heard of a lightning to lightning cable, can’t see them on Amazon either.

Where can we get them from and is that faster than Wi-Fi?
You need to use something like the lightning - USB camera connector to give you a second lightning port. Chain goes like this:

Phone -> lightning to USB cable -> lightning to USB camera connector (you plug the USB end of the lightning cable from the first phone into this) -> second phone (you plug the lightning connector of the USB adaptor into this, obviously). It is usually faster than wifi but depends on the phone's wifi spec as it's at USB2 speeds (480Mbit/sec IIRC) via the cable.

Mines showing despatched to Yodel (from virgin media) for delivery tomorrow, 14 Pro 256Gb Space Black, am excited!

Not sure if Yodel give one hour time sluts though.

You will be lucky to get it at all tomorrow with Yodel. I believe they never stick to sluts.

How well does device to device work? Is it a smooth process and how long does it take when you’ve used up over 100gb?

Have always used iCloud restore so am keen to try a way where I don’t have to log back in to EVERYTHING! Thanks

Just do the phone to phone transfer and it will clone everything across.

No idea about doing via cable but lightening will be capped at usb 2.0 speeds of around 480mpbs.

If you’ve got a lot of data it can take a good while to transfer!

Also worth noting, if doing the apple quick transfer (bring the phones near each other) you’ll need to wait until the transfer is finished until you can use either phone again.

Late to the party as ID mobile messed up my wife’s 13 pro order (got the 13pro instead of the 14, but ID have none in stock even though they took the order :mad:)

Are they any deals on the 14 pro 128gb that are worth considering? Best I’ve seen is £47 a month £210 upfront

Most people in here are either buying through EE or non-contract!!!

There are a few Sky and Three purchases. Cheapest is outright and sim only deal. I’m using Voxi.

It is a very smooth process, you just let the phones guide you through the process.

It will take longer with larger GB, but I have never tried with larger GB as I always cleared off most of my photos/videos before hand. I prefer keeping new photos/videos taken by the new camera (starting fresh).

The banking apps are a pain the butt to set up again, hence why I prefer the device to device route.

Banking apps should still recognise you’ve changed device and ask you to log back in (I think!)

Morning all. Happy iPhone dispatch day

No emails or texts from EE or DPD but tracking info appeared in DPD app. See pms to have been collected around 2am but label generated around 7am.

Getting an iPhone Pro 128GB in Deep Purple
