Tried to speak with Three about the lack of shipping notification, but the agents were pretty useless and had no other info other than 'you will receive a message when it is being delivered'.

I have a suspicion that they wont post to DPD until later today, but never ordered with Three

Got my ink case ready and waiting!

I normally get a black leather case as the I’m not a fan of the way the lighter colours wear, but the Ink this year looked nice.

The Succulent silicone is for my wife’s white 14 Pro and the Ink leather is either for my space black 14 Pro or (if I decide to risk it and go naked with Apple Care) a spare for her.

Long time forum stalker, but going to jump into the convo. Super excited about my new iPhone 14 Pro. I just went for the basic version and would have upgraded to the 256GB model if the prices matched the US, but I opted for the 128GB as I'm buying it out right and it's already super expensive

Bought straight from Apple on pre-order day, expecting it tomorrow. I signed into my account today to be greeted with some confusion.
The main account page says I'm getting it Monday the 19th, but the progress page says I'm getting it tomorrow (Friday).

That’s a little odd, I’ve just checked on my app and web link on my mac and they all state arrive tomorrow. Maybe yours has a glitch but really is all good for tomorrow.

Oh that is a weird phenomenon. I absolutely agree that, at that size, the 13 Pro looks superior. That does change when you view the original (albeit, resized) image on Imgur.

There is much more fine detail on the 14 Pro, but much less sharpening applied - which is a good thing because it's not required.

You can particularly see how much sharpening has been applied by the 13 Pro in the last image. Look at the tree-line against the sky. That strange 'halo' effect is caused by the sharpening, and it's not apparent at all in the 14 Pro image.

Either way, the forum-resized 13 Pro images do look better than the 14 Pro but that's likely down to a poor resize algorithm. Because there is actually more detail and less sharpening in the 14 Pro image, it comes out looking blurred when, in actuality, it isn't.

I think its perceived sharpness. To me (IMO as a pro photographer) the sharpening looks very artificial.

With the new cameras the true test will be the DNG file. Not even ProRaw will show it's true potential because ProRaw is some apple half-way house with processing and raw and mainly marketing babble. The noise and definition will show in DNG's.

However 90% of users won't know or care.. they want the phone to take a nice snap with the iOS camera app and be done with.

Im getting the silver 256gb, annoying they dont do a nice white leather case. I think it would have looked great. Didnt want the clear case this year as much prefer the feel of the leather.

I imagine it would look nice for about five minutes. 🤣 It’s hard enough to keep the darker colours clean, can’t imagine a white one!

Yes of course it’s a silver (not white) I’ve ordered along with space black (darker shade looks promising, my favourite finish was the jet black 7). Always used to get the highest capacity but since iCloud works so well with managing large photo libraries it turns out neither of us are close to using 128GB so that’s what I’ve ordered this year.

Sorry, but the agent isn't useless. They are telling you what I could have told you. When it is dispatched, you will be notified. What exactly were you hoping for them to tell you?

EE almost certainly got more stock than expected, because I ordered on Saturday at 7pm and the model I ordered (14PM 256 Silver) was supposedly already going to take over a month until I got it, but I just got my DPD notification right now.

Really? i cant say ive ever noticed any colour offset with previous leather cases, even the bright orange!
