I'm terrified something similar is going to happen to me, did you make a note of the serial number or take any pics etc before you sent? I made a video showing functionality of the buttons, battery health, serial and an overview of the phone before I sent mine (not to MM) - not sure if this would do any good. But feel better having made them I guess.Music Magpie - ABSOLUTE CROOKS
I know others have had good experiences but I have been well a truly conned by them and now out of pocket by a huge amount.
I sent them an immaculate iPhone 13 Pro Max, I mean absolute mint condition, almost as perfect as the day I bought it from Apple. High-quality Tourras screen protector installed on the day I purchased it, always in a shockproof case, I even had a camera lens protector installed as I am so OCD about my tech. Never dropped and never mishandled, literally no scratches on stainless steel case apart from normal "micro Scratches" and even they were minimal. If I received my iPhone as refurbished I would have been made up - hell it still had 100% battery health.
I sent it so highly packaged - in the original Apple box which I taped shut, that was wrapped in bubble wrap and taped, then placed in a box and parcel taped within an inch of its life.
After rather suspicious delays between delivered status and they received it and after an inspection found the screen chipped, scratches on the screen, and a crack. Offer reduced from £700 to £143 as they deem the damage that bad. When challenged they have shown me photographic evidence and I can swear that the screen they showed was not the screen that was on my phone. My screen had zero scratches due to the screen protector and no chips - I closely inspected it at the point of despatch and polished it with a lint-free cloth. I reiterate that it was the definition of mint condition. Further, it was so over-packaged that I cannot see how it could have been damaged in transit.
I am devastated (strong words but it's how I feel) - I have zero recourse as they claim that's the phone they received (possibly it is but something amiss has happened in the meantime). There is nothing I can do but reject their offer and receive a damaged phone back that I swear has a screen on that is not mine. Resale value is now hugely impacted, this is not the phone I sent them, and I am out of pocket by a huge amount. They will not entertain any liability and just say that's the phone I sent - the IMEI number matches.
What can I do - seems to be absolutely nothing.
prob from around 7pm or soAnyone who has in-store pickups got any notifs? i have a pickup for tomorrow not sure if its late evening we get a notif or not
An Apple Store could probably help with that. I am unsure of current applications which do thatOne for the techies - see my previous posts regarding screen damage to iPhone sent to MM which looks like a completely different screen to the one I sent them.
Previously I used some software whereby you connected your iPhone to your PC and got a full breakdown of components, I remember checking who was the manufacturer of my display. Does the iPhone create any sort of log if a component is replaced/swapped out with time and date information? Basically, and it's a long shot, could I see if a screen had been swapped in my iPhone during the date range it was either in transit or delivered to Music Magpie? I know Apple log a lot of info so possibly they might log this?
Slightly unrelated as this was a MacBook Air, but I had an absolutely terrible experience with Music Magpie once. Tried to claim I'd sent them an i3 instead an i5 version and I provided all receipts, messages from Apple live chat confirming my model (via S/N) and had to resort to threatening legal action when they were refusing to actually *check* the laptop I had sent them. Absolutely useless and really soured my trust in them.I'm terrified something similar is going to happen to me, did you make a note of the serial number or take any pics etc before you sent? Surely this is a case of the phones getting mixed up.
Oban ?Girlfriend’s phone is shipped we are in the highlands so probably going to be a Tuesday delivery now due to Bank Holiday
But it may still dispatch today. Seems a little OTT. I would just wait until later tonight/tomorrow to see what happens. Amazon often dispatch things quite late from experience.Currently talking to Amazon. They’re saying the email saying “We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item.” actually means you might not get your iPhone for over TWO MONTHS.
I’m cancelling my order, my Prime subscription and avoiding using Amazon where practical from now on.
Absolutely livid.
Nhs never shuts 😉Totally forgot we all have Monday off.
Wait until tomorrow at least. You just never know.Currently talking to Amazon. They’re saying the email saying “We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item.” actually means you might not get your iPhone for over TWO MONTHS.

I think you’d have seen a photo if I got mine yesterday 🤣 as expected it was just a false positive dpd trigger - they haven’t even received the package yet although it’s been “officially dispatched” and I got a text confirming I’d receive it on Launch DayThought you got yours yesterday 😆
Dispatched! That was a late one for sure. No money taken either.Lol can’t see me being that lucky but yeah that would be nice! This order is the wife’s phone, my pro max is on the way, which means if it doesn’t arrive I’ll get it in the neck from the her. Joy.
I’ve rage cancelled my Amazon prime subscription before…a month later I always end up re-subscribing 🤣Currently talking to Amazon. Yeah I sent them an iPad that was in great condition, came back saying it was this and that had water damage, and the screen was damaged (none of these things were true) they sent it back in the same condition I provided it, which is about the only good thing I would say. I used goodbuy tech last year and they were flawless, unfortunately they werent accepting trade ins on the 13 pro for some reason, so went for webuyanyphone, looking at some of the reviews though, urgh man. Makes me sick just thinking about it. But then they are all the same. The phone I sent in was immaculate, pray for me lol!Slightly unrelated as this was a MacBook Air, but I had an absolutely terrible experience with Music Magpie once. That's the program I used, thanks for the reminder, although this might be the solution I am looking for:3u tools
