Looks like everyone had a Very delivery except me then! And I ordered at 13:04. Oh well, roll on 10th October now then I guess.
Ah man I feel for you. My order was submitted at 13:00 on the dot. Which phone did you order?

Music Magpie - ABSOLUTE CROOKS

I know others have had good experiences but I have been well a truly conned by them and now out of pocket by a huge amount.

I sent them an immaculate iPhone 13 Pro Max, I mean absolute mint condition, almost as perfect as the day I bought it from Apple. High-quality Tourras screen protector installed on the day I purchased it, always in a shockproof case, I even had a camera lens protector installed as I am so OCD about my tech. Never dropped and never mishandled, literally no scratches on stainless steel case apart from normal "micro Scratches" and even they were minimal. If I received my iPhone as refurbished I would have been made up - hell it still had 100% battery health.

I sent it so highly packaged - in the original Apple box which I taped shut, that was wrapped in bubble wrap and taped, then placed in a box and parcel taped within an inch of its life.

After rather suspicious delays between delivered status and they received it and after an inspection found the screen chipped, scratches on the screen, and a crack. Offer reduced from £700 to £143 as they deem the damage that bad. When challenged they have shown me photographic evidence and I can swear that the screen they showed was not the screen that was on my phone. My screen had zero scratches due to the screen protector and no chips - I closely inspected it at the point of despatch and polished it with a lint-free cloth. I reiterate that it was the definition of mint condition. Further, it was so over-packaged that I cannot see how it could have been damaged in transit.

I am devastated (strong words but it's how I feel) - I have zero recourse as they claim that's the phone they received (possibly it is but something amiss has happened in the meantime). There is nothing I can do but reject their offer and receive a damaged phone back that I swear has a screen on that is not mine. Resale value is now hugely impacted, this is not the phone I sent them, and I am out of pocket by a huge amount. They will not entertain any liability and just say that's the phone I sent - the IMEI number matches.

What can I do - seems to be absolutely nothing.

Does anyone know if I need the phone in hand to cancel AppleCare? Im thinking because of this awful experience keeping my applecare active (I pay monthly) until I get the money from music magpie just in case

Cheers man, it’s frustrating but completely a first world problem in the grand scheme of things! I ordered the iPhone 14 PM 128 silver. How about you?!
I went iPhone 14 PM 128 purple. Funnily enough, I was choosing between the purple and white. Hopefully it comes before 10th so you can enjoy it!

It's a good question, what happens if you also have theft and loss protection added, don't you have to have 'Find my' active for the Apple Care to be valid? Surely this would be deactivated once you reset the phone and sent it to MM.

You don’t usually get the one hour slot until the morning when parcels loaded in van.

Some carrier phones (not apple.com) might have the option to upgrade your delivery to a pre 12pm etc which is usually chargeable
Do you know what's the earliest DPD deliver? Is it like from 8am?

Hallelujah

Seeing all this Music Magpie stuff is making me worried now.

I’m taking a 13P 256gb to a smartDrop kiosk over the weekend and I didn’t realise but there some scuffs (not scratches, are there differences?) on the band. Ironically you can only see them if it’s clean lol. Should I be worried? 😰

Can't remember who recommended ReBuy but just locked in with them for £354 for my 13 mini. They said DPD will collect and bring all packaging so I don't need to do anything (apart from factory setting the phone). Would you guys suggest I take photos as it is placed in the packaging?

My Apple Store app says my iPhone has ‘shipped’ yet the tracking number doesn’t yet work with DHL. Odd no?

Apparently my phone is out for delivery this evening according to EE. DPD tracking said it’s on its way to Hinckley. I’ll wait until tomorrow lol

I think you should be fine it seems isolated problem tbh. I’ve never had any issues with MM in my entire experience

Familia. We are so close now. I am experiencing time snailing by slower than ever, mixed in with increasing colour choice anxiety. Sigh. But the darkest hour comes before the dawn as they say!

Will we see an update to DPD tonight so show our phones have arrived wherever they're going (mine's going to Crawley depot)?
