That’ll be me. I have no excitement. Just waiting for the ready to collect status.
 
I have previously had an issue with a phone sent to MM. it was in pristine condition having been in a wallet case the whole time and no issues with it. They tried to claim there was water damage and a problem with the camera. Got it back and gave it to Game. No issues found and got the full price quoted. Seems to me it’s a bit of a lottery.

Also good luck to all getting their new phones. Mine is supposedly going to arrive in store with 3 tomorrow so fingers crossed 👍

I know others have had good experiences but I have been well a truly conned by them and now out of pocket by a huge amount.

I sent them an immaculate iPhone 13 Pro Max, I mean absolute mint condition, almost as perfect as the day I bought it from Apple. High-quality Tourras screen protector installed on the day I purchased it, always in a shockproof case, I even had a camera lens protector installed as I am so OCD about my tech. Never dropped and never mishandled, literally no scratches on stainless steel case apart from normal "micro Scratches" and even they were minimal. If I received my iPhone as refurbished I would have been made up - hell it still had 100% battery health.

I sent it so highly packaged - in the original Apple box which I taped shut, that was wrapped in bubble wrap and taped, then placed in a box and parcel taped within an inch of its life.

After rather suspicious delays between delivered status and they received it and after an inspection found the screen chipped, scratches on the screen, and a crack. Offer reduced from £700 to £143 as they deem the damage that bad. When challenged they have shown me photographic evidence and I can swear that the screen they showed was not the screen that was on my phone. My screen had zero scratches due to the screen protector and no chips - I closely inspected it at the point of despatch and polished it with a lint-free cloth. I reiterate that it was the definition of mint condition. Further, it was so over-packaged that I cannot see how it could have been damaged in transit.

I am devastated (strong words but it's how I feel) - I have zero recourse as they claim that's the phone they received (possibly it is but something amiss has happened in the meantime). There is nothing I can do but reject their offer and receive a damaged phone back that I swear has a screen on that is not mine. Resale value is now hugely impacted, this is not the phone I sent them, and I am out of pocket by a huge amount. They will not entertain any liability and just say that's the phone I sent - the IMEI number matches.

What can I do - seems to be absolutely nothing.

They did this to me years ago. I sent in an immaculate iphone 6s and they claimed it was scratched. I rejected their revised offer, and when I received it back it had a scratch so deep, that it could have only been deliberately. Seems they’re still up to their old tricks. Utter scumbags.

I've used them before for iPhones, iPads and Samsung phones and they have been great. Even on one occasion where there was lock (even though I thought there wasn't) they accepted my prompt to keep it for a few days while I am unlocking it (via my expired carrier's contract). I am using them again this year for the 12 Pro Max, which I will sent in tomorrow or Saturday.
 
Just wanted to ask you lovely Brits a question:

The Dynamic Island has apparently been around long enough that it's acquired the 'DI' shorthand already. Now I watch a fair bit of British shows, so my first thought upon seeing 'DI' was 'Detective Inspector', and it's a pleasant thought as I imagine the likes of DI Goodman or DI Mooney from Death in Paradise.

This happen for any of you?
 
Good evening everyone, I hope you’ve all had a great day. Today certainly has been a rollercoaster for many of us. Waiting for the email / notification we’ve been waiting for. Tomorrow is the big day, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are released to the public and the lucky people will be receiving them. Have a great evening 👍

I got my email from Very about 4pm too. Excited to get my hands on the phone tomorrow!! They used Royal Mail last year and had no issue - ah I can finally relax.

Looks like everyone had a Very delivery except me then! :rolleyes: And I ordered at 13:04. Oh well, roll on 10th October now then I guess.
