They did this to me years ago. I sent in an immaculate iphone 6s and they claimed it was scratched. I rejected their revised offer, and when I received it back it had a scratch so deep, that it could have only been deliberately. Seems they’re still up to their old tricks. Utter scumbags.
Used MM loads of time and never really had any issues with them.
Curry’s have stock for next day delivery in my area.
Deep Purple Pro's and a 1TB Space Black. No Pro Max in stock or even listed anyway.

Of course they do, that's definitely not complete bull***t from them.

Not that I'm angry with them cancelling my launch day order at the last minute, blaming Apple, not offering any goodwill credit, and saying they'll send a colour I don't want instead at some unspecified future date. Not at all.

I’ll let you know if it turns up

No one knows for sure, best to check at 6am for stock as I’d guess that would be quite reflective of what’s available on the day
Exactly what I'm planning to do. Was just wondering if anyone had any experience in previous years of just turning up?

How do we think the MusicMagpie SmartKiosks work? One would assume it has some kind of scanner that can detect faults and damage to the phone which can then manually adjust the offer...

...but that would be quite a complex and expensive kiosk to create and deploy to Asda stores. The other possibility is that it simply has cameras which transmit images back to HQ, where a human would manually vet the submissions (hence why it takes so long) before adjusting the final offer if needed.

Anybody have any further insights?

Some of you are starting to get shipping notifications, which is reassuring.

I’m in the north west, hoping it’s DPD. They’re normally here in the AM…

I think nowadays Apple has 2 lines, one which is pre-orders and one for people looking to buy, thats what i've seen in previous years at the Reading Apple Store, while i'm walking past with my 7am delivery of my iphone lol. I'm picking mine up tomorrow in store during my time slot so i can update what i see when there

I ordered with giffgaff today for delivery tomorrow, so hoping for a dispatch notification and DPD tracking later tonight/early tomorrow.

Regretting updating my 13PM to iOS 16.1, but I'd be surprised if Apple didn't release iOS 16.1 for iPhone 14, if it's not already available.

I believe it’s manual. There’s a camera inside and one of their techs checks the condition remotely apparently.
