Hello everyone. So I have a 128gb pro max ready for pickup tomorrow from my local Apple Store. If they have stock can I upgrade it to a 256 gb model and just pay the extra when I get to the store? Has anyone done this before?

In the fairly unlikely event they will refund the 128gb and then out the 256gb through as a new transaction. Nit a big deal if you paid in full - more hassle if you did on finance.

Those who have used rebuy, how did you package your parcel? Did you just hand it over to the dpd driver or did you package it beforehand?

I've not used rebuy but their email says just send the phone, no box or accessories. The DPD driver puts it into a box and seals.

Started to panic because I think I’m getting cold sweats thinking about last year with DHL… it got delivered on the Saturday cause it for some reason ran out of time the Friday 😱

Same, but I looked back at a couple of previous deliveries from DHL and my tracking has absolutely nothing between the 'collected' and the following morning's 'at the delivery depot' (and has always been on time):

Brother all will be ok.

2 year old iPhone 12 Pro i took to the machine had some micro scratch and a ding on the edge of rear camera surround.

All went ok and got full price.

This was very reassuring! I will update the thread on Saturday with my experience. May even record it on my lovely 14 PM!

Reservation open at 6am tomorrow, I recommend making a reservation for the iPhone desired and when you get to the store you can get your initial order refunded

I remember there used to be a 3rd party site that pulled all the stock data so you knew what was were.

Don’t worry this happens every year and by 9am tomorrow it should be out for delivery.
Are you in NI?
Everytime I order something from Apple that comes via DHL on the DHL site they always have the date wrong until it is out for delivery, but on the Apple and Syncreon sites it’s correct.

Yes, I’m in NI and was hoping it isn’t going to be one of those things where it takes an extra day for non mainland addresses.

Yea, both the Apple and Syncreon sites still say delivery tomorrow. Only the DHL one which was confusing.

Ahh that’s the problem with DHL, they’re just not quite as guaranteed as much as they are with DPD. They’re definitely more flaky, I have the same worries for tomorrow too…

My Watch order from Apple just changed from PFS to Shipped - 9.28PM the night before delivery!
DPD tracking number isn’t working just yet.

Like this legit happened to me last year… it got delivered Saturday morning instead…

Yes. If you’ve already paid for the 128 they’ll refund you and then do the 256 as a new purchase

also, if you've paid by card - you can get them refund to apple voucher and then use that straight away to pay for the new one.

this means you avoid two charges on a credit card and waiting 5 days for the refund to appear.

Yearly occurrence coming back to this thread! I ordered a regular (not max) iPhone 14 Pro from EE in silver on Wednesday. It said launch day delivery but I was sceptical.

No comms from EE since, but the DPD app is showing a parcel from EE arriving tomorrow. Someone on the EE forums mentioned similar! It links you using your phone number/email apparently.
