Still have time - if no change by 9:15am then perhaps a little worry and chase up call to them
I’d give it until 9ish before I’d begin to be concerned.
It’s likely that the staff are still unloading wagons and bringing them into the depot to be then loaded into the delivery vans.
I’d imagine they’re surged with orders and are delivering between 8am - 8pm.
Plus - their tracking systems seem vague and delayed too.
Speaking of putting a screen protector on straight away - the installation videos all advise to use the wet wipe and dry wipe before installation. Does it really needed when the phone is still box fresh?
Last year I used those but I wasn’t convinced it was really needed. This year I’m thinking about skipping that step.

23.59….I have had DHL most years for delivery, my experience is there tracking system is not the best but delivery is much more efficient
Just had the confirmation email from them and it mentions the 7 day hold. Delighted.
Will contact Apple at 8am to see about switching the finance to my pickup order.
Skip the wipes is what I would say. The ones that come with pack create dust!
Your screen will pristine as the phone will be brand new, so no need. Simply run a hot shower with windows and door closed in the bathroom for 10 mins, make the air nice and humid and apply the screensaver on there. Will zap away any dust.

Seeing loads of stock in store available for tomorrow collection for all those that "missed out" on pre orders.....

Well. Amazon are annoying. What can we do. It’s only a phone.
Seems like all gone for pickup and reserve today. A few purple ones around it seems.
I have one due for the 3-10 it’s not the end of the world.
I am away now for a few days so looks like bham will be my local store for possible collection but can’t reserve anything there today and nothing I want in stock tomorrow yet.

Hoping thats the case, not had DHL before. DPD tends to deliver late to me (1600-1900hrs) so DHL maybe better...
I wasn’t thinking of doing it the OTT way, but yeah, makes sense. Mind you I have an air purifier running in the sitting room so I should be relatively low on dust.
To be honest at this point I’m more excited to find out who Dino is than getting my phone

As people have said not overly concerned yet, in my experience DHL deliver to my house between 10-12 so if nothing by them i'll give them a call

My Apple goodies have been at my local DPD depot since midnight 😅
