that's a very good point! I wonder how the 'swipe down for reachability' would work? maybe it replicates the pill cutout/island when the screen slides down?!

Has anyone seen any reviews or videos that shows what happens with the dynamic island when you use reachability? I've watched about 3/4 videos now and not seen anyone show this off

Did phone to phone transfer and it hasn’t been smooth!

Watch is still paired to old iPhone + my esim didn’t move over deleted esim from old device now trying to add to new device and just sat on activating.

Anyone know how to solve the Watch issue - I have a good streak on my rings if I reset the watch will I lose this?

funny enough I had the exact same 2 issues you mentioned, but I haven’t had a esim yet in my old one I had issue setting it up from new but both issues resolved now

Phone finally set up!!

Had to backup my phone that is on 16.1. Edit the plist to say it’s a 16.0 backup then downgrade phone 14 to 16.0.1 and then restore the backup and now finish the config.

I just done musicmagpie smartkiosk and must say all went smoothly, with a bit of a wait. Any questions let me know, I think this is a great option to choose rather than sending it out and having issues like one of the guys here

Been waiting in all day and just had notification that delivery attempted and calling card left. Lies!

Its not the end of the world as I have the one I am likely keeping from DPD.

however having problems setting up the eSim and tried to reset the 14 so I can do again from scratch but that not working 🤷‍♀️

Just had an email from Barclays finance saying as a thank you for choosing them I can have 5 months of news, arcade, music and TV for free! Pretty decent!

Hmmm my wife did the Barclays finance… she has not mentioned this. Maybe she’s keeping it all to herself! Will have to convince her to add it on. Pretty sure I’ll get the benefits due to iCloud family? Right?

Did your esim sort its self out? I had a nightmare with ee esims and my Apple Watch last year hoping this isn’t as bad to sort out!

Yeah been a hard slog. Various iCloud restores, device to device etc.

I was adamant I was going to do a "fresh install", but whilst waiting yesterday and this morning, I "cleaned" the 13 Pro Max up (removing unused apps etc.) and did a transfer instead. It felt like it took forever!

I've had an absolute nightmare - my EE eSIM wouldn't transfer through iOS. I had to load it again via the EE app and it wasn't clear you had to then also go back into the EE app to "activate eSIM". It was stuck "activating" on the 14 Pro Max and I almost deleted it from the 13. Thankfully I didn't as the EE app needed 2FA to activate.

My Apple Watch couldn't be transferred. In the Watch app it refused to appear on the list. Had to reset on the Watch and set-up again from Watch app. I'm now waiting for the EE Data Plan to activate on the Watch, whilst panicking that my awards in the Fitness app are taking their sweet time to restore from iCloud.

I also got the prompt to record a video/selfie for Monzo - but it was approved immediately and I've added the card into the Wallet. Halifax, Lloyds and BoS are asking me to "call to verify". I probably won't bother.

Just can't quite believe the number of apps that are all asking me to sign-in etc. I'm wondering what actually transferred from the old phone that took so long? The apps all redownloaded from the App store and no data/logins seem to have carried across?

Feels great when you're all set up doesn't it?

I set mine up from scratch and am quite alarmed at how smooth it went, to the point where I feel like I've surely missed some really big stuff but nope, don't think I have. Absolutely love it! 😄

yeh it did, so it got stuck on “activating” when trying to use “Another Device” QR code from EE app so I had to pop in my physical sim to new iPhone and set up it up as “This Device” and worked first time and quick

Well you can just go on the EE app and get a new eSim in seconds

But not on Vodafone or O2! Vodafone requires 2FA through the existing SIM. I'll probably do EE next time though.

I realise where I’ve messed up with my esim now..

It’s stuck on activating and it texts a pin to my number but because I jumped the gun and removed the esim form my old device I’m not stuck and unable to activate..

Hopefully EE can help over the phone!
