What model are you getting?

the levels seem to change minute by minute, hard to tell if IUP and standard stock is the same... just keep trying both
Yeah I can't work it out, sometimes it appears as separate stock then other times the same.

Anyone know how you can get rid of this notification for eSim? I’m not wanting an eSim, but it doesn’t seem to be budging.

I normally just click into it (without starting to perform any actions), then force close settings.

...not to give the impression it happens a lot, I have this experience with all my back-up/old devices on WIFI and get prompts to set up mobile services and apple pay ect.

Do we think prices of the iPads (Air included) and MacBooks (again, Air included) are going to go up next month just like the iPhones did?

Where else is worth looking? I prefer the app in general, but can't see how to have it list regional stores as well as my preferred one.
I'm just looking at the standard order pages and then press 'check availablity'..it brings up this page below and shows you stock in nearby stores as well.. you can keep clicking around and it refreshes too.

While I’m waiting for my phone to arrive at 1:36 pm, I thought I’d trawl through my Amazon parcels of cases and screen protectors.

I also ordered a “Used-Like New” Anker MagSafe battery pack from Amazon warehouse and I thought I’d share a picture of it with you…View attachment 2074080
looks like its still being used by someone else!

Need your thoughts, please! I'm in the market for a new plug. I currently have one of these (but need another charger): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Char...&sprefix=anker+20w,electronics,69&sr=1-6&th=1

But am thinking if it's worth grabbing the 30w version: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Char...&sprefix=anker+30w,electronics,63&sr=1-4&th=1

Considering there is about £10 difference between the two, I'm wondering if the 20w is the better choice. Does anybody more technically inclined know if I'm really going to see the difference between 20w and 30w (or well 27w)?

the lightening cable will be the limiter here... it only supports up to 27w.. and that won't be consistently.

also looks like the 'pro' caps out at 20w... that was based on the 13 last year...

not seen much regarding it changing

Has anyone historically ever had an apple product turn up before the estimated delivery date? I still have a month to wait! :(
I'm in the same boat - estimated delivery is 26th October to 1st November. Apple are switching some production from the 14 to the 14 Pro, which may help some, but they've also just launched all models in a host of new countries, which will also need supply.

My last purchase I hope of iPhone 14 stuff this year (I could be lying)

Got wallet for my Umbria leather case. I knew I would. £47.20 at John Lewis atm, paid with work related gift vouchers so extra (5%) off. Rude not to. In fact it’s practically free.

Wonder what Apple stuff I can get in October …..:p

Okay, so, I know there's an "are you returning" thread, but thought I'd post here to get the opinion of my U.K. OGs.

Is anyone else feeling just a bit melancholy/'meh" and/or massively underwhelmed?

I moved from a 13 Pro Max so I wasn't expecting much, but the whole experience has been a damp squib. Firstly, there was the "camera-gate". I don't use Snapchat, but do Instagram and as soon as I heard the buzzing, I stopped. I'm sure there's no lasting damage (I also have AC+). Yes, you could blame the developers but these are some of the most popular apps around.

Secondly, the AOD not being "fine-tuned" (too bright/not subtle) and the battery drain. Thirdly, the "haptic keyboard" causing battery drain. Just feels like, right now, it's a phone that's just there to look pretty. Don't expect to use any of the features and retain any semblance of acceptable uptime without needing to charge.

Yes, the screen is SO MUCH brighter - but I dare not keep on full brightness for long.

I tried the camera outdoors properly yesterday and whilst I'm no professional photographer, I couldn't particularly see any significant improvement. And some of the photos I shot at night were just a horrible (noisy) mess. I had my "work" Pixel 6 Pro and that did so much better. Not to mention it has WiFi 6E and reverse charging - saved me quite a few times! It's a fraction of the price.

I know a lot of the above gripes will/can be addressed through software revisions - but any hardware is only as good as the software on it and it feels like it's just an incredibly "unfinished" product? I can't help but think this whole push for "annual upgrades" and the upgrade programme etc. has kinda forced Apple's hand on the product development cycle and/or it has come to rely on the surge of cashflow in this particular month? Rather than delay a new product launch until both hardware/software are ready it is forced to stick to this schedule?

you'll have seen some people yesterday who were expecting their phones between 26 sept - 3rd oct are getting theirs delivered today.

none of us can say for sure.

if I were in your position, I'd get my apple order and be checking store stock in the mean time... I'd be very confident of securing some store stock be the end of oct!

I'd take it for granted that prices outside USA will go up…

I am ready to buy a 12.9" Pro, but waiting for the expected release in October.
But wondering if I shouldn't just nab a 2021 model right now. No bugs and issues… no expensive beta testing required from my side. 🙂

People have said it’s not quite the full width and that the Spigen EZ fit does a better job.

Keen to hear your opinions.
I'd vote for Spigen EZ Fit any time.
Never failed me yet…
