I only need wireless buds/headphones once to twice a week. Otherwise I’m WfH, hence why my wife has stolen my AirPods Pro since losing hers - she’s going to work and back 4/5 days a week.
Also, I’m a very ‘spend weeks and months researching and making sure I want/need it before buying’ kind of guy. I bought a pair of £120 headphones for the PlayStation this week and I’ve wanted them for about 3 months lol
I'm back to where I was a month ago..
on an XR waiting to find a new iPhone!
the pro has gone back along with the case.. (same non-issue where the system was showing it as 14 days from order, but they just overrode that quickly.)
I had initiated the case return online as I had bought it prior to the phone arriving... I asked if I could do it in store, and he did that as well, even though it was past its 14 days (I think he thought I bought it at the same time).
compared the colours in person for the first time, the DP still looks the best with the SB a close second but I'm going to try find a SB Max to keep with the watch now.
tried on the ultra, its not as overwhelming as it looks but its too big for my liking still... happy to have the S8 SB and also picked up a woven loop too. I wish apple did proper black straps and none of this midnight business!
also umm'd and arr'd over cases... the elderberry did have a lot more hand oil marks on it even in the two weeks.. how are the other colours holding up?
the leathers looked ok but anyone tried to sell to CEX?.. I also dropped off my 13p case to them and got £16 cash.. better than it sitting on my desk!
busy few hours, still no phone.. wife tutted and said 'I don't care'

This is my other half too - he genuinely could care less and I always get new apple cases. He's so used to it now lol
so need some advise on a couple of things
- to try and minimise bulk, are there any recommended slim cases worth looking at?
- with the apple leather cases, how do they hold up after a year? I'd probably do the 'sell to CEX' like I've just done with m 13p silicone case. Anyone tried with a leather case, given the chance or more scratches and patina, do they look down on those things?
- elderberry really seemed to show up the shiny oils marks in just 2 weeks.. any of the silicone colours holding up better?
- I can't be boring and do black on black can I? @BillGates1969 no doubt you own a matching Hermes case for yours?! 😜

Look into Peel cases, they are meant to be the best for being the slimmest true to bare feel cases. Yes they’re from US but I reckon they’re worth it. I was going to get one and might still do but for now this case I have is fine enough.
I prefer clear cases to show off the colour 😎
(But yes do black on black if you wish)
Black on black for me is boring but it'll work - personal preference really
I do not like the look or feel of leather cases. I much prefer silicone - a few shiny marks doesn't bother me to be honest.
Also yes as @Cutiekitty92 said - Peel cases are really good - didn't go for them this time around but for previous phones I've loved them.
I have 2x Peel 14 Pro Max cases due with me from the US. One in clear (hard) and the other silver (white opaque, hard).
One is out for delivery with Evri and the other is apparently with UK customs.
Looking forward to putting these on my phone as the cheap ESR clear case I have adds so much bulk to an already big phone. Will feed back with photos when they arrive.
They're not cheap, but they are genuinely thin unlike many of the so-called thin cases on Amazon that have been badly photoshopped.
They're also not for drop protection; only every-day scratch protection. I dropped my Peel cased up 12 Pro Max on to a tiled floor and mildly dented one of the steel corners, though thankfully I was able to sand and buff it down as it was the silver steel version.
Battery life seams way ahead of the 13 pro max been on since 5-30 am and I’m still at 59%

Anyone know how long AirPods take to ship? Mine are supposed to deliver tomorrow but still sat at PTS :/

I did use peel a few years ago and was impressed with the size, but I found once it was on, it was on and wasn’t easy to swap around.
I had the Apple leather case for 13 pro max in midnight - held up pretty well. However found it to become more 'fragile' over time. I'm currently rocking the 14 pro max with a black silicone case. Ended up picking up a space black 14 pro max in the end and honestly love the black on black combo. I would't really say a silicone case plus the iPhone adds bulk - its really weird as with the 14 pro + case it feels oddly heavy compared to the pro max with a case - must be to do with the larger size and difference in weight distribution I guess!
Just had a look at these now and they seem nice. Is the lighter weight really noticeable say compared to the silicone Apple case (I know its going to be lighter but can you really feel the difference?)

Does anyone know how long this takes because water got into my iPhone X and I’m currently using a 1st gen iPhone SE 16GB 😅 It’s a pain having to uninstall and reinstall apps as I need them 😭

Who is the carrier? Royal Mail subject to industrial action today and tomorrow so that might cause a short delay I ordered mine to be sent by courier from the local store for £8!
I have plenty little drawstring bags from Chanel make up purchases that I am going to use to keep it clean and hopefully unscratched. Handy to find a use for them to be honest.
Ah that’s a great idea. I’ve got some small Chanel drawstring bags. That’ll work. I assumed that delivery Saturday would mean that they’d arrive via a courier like DPD. Might contact Apple see if I can find out. I’m only at this address until tomorrow. 😩
Loool I work in the international department at work and my role involves looking after quite a few regions including the Caribbean and the Middle East/Gulf. It’s my first time out there since the pandemic hit! Planning a Dubai trip next year!
How’d you know? Got the 7P+. Got a stupid issue where they need to be re-paired but my MacBook isn’t loading the SteelSeries GG programme properly. And I can’t download anything to my work laptop.
So now I’m stuck using it wired until I can figure this issue out!
