Ditto.. seems they are ‘MagSafe compatible’ ones out compared to the ‘MagSafe’ one this is. Supposedly the only one which can deliver the full 15w

I use the ESR magsafe wallet. Best aftermarket case imo for anyone wanting to carry more than 3 cards. Plus it doubles as a phone stand. Much better value than the official apple wallet.
Its holding my drivers license, 3 cards and a bank note for when I’m in a pinch.

Definitely getting more elusive by the minute; try a JL walk-in albeit they appear to be sold out online, as well as Very.co.uk on Tues, Weds & Thurs.

I think you're right. I used to at least see SOME models available over the last few weeks and now literally nothing. I'm not getting one for myself as I think I'm keeping my mini but I'm trying to track one down for my husband!

Need some info!!
Those who used Music Magpie did you happen to track the parcel or have access to the tracking still in Royal Mail. I am particular interest in some who is not from the North.

I need to know the route it took in the tracking.

For example mine went from

Posting
Arrived at North West Parcel Hub
Then arrived at MM

Although the arrive at MM is false anyway. I am more interest in the second phase. Does it go to a local hub then up to the North West Hub or something different.

You don't normall get step by step tracking with RM 48.

It'll be posted, at hub, then delivered.
 
I've managed to reserve to pick up a 14 Pro Max tomorrow from one of the apple stores, but noticed that in the email it says the below.

I thought when I reserved it, it would let me pay for it outright when I get the store.

Whats the story with these reservations?

Pretty sure they don’t care how you pay as long as they get your cash!

I was concerned I’d have remorse over buying the Deep Purple. But having received it, it’s much less purple than I expected. More what you’d get with a mix of purple and space black. I like it 🙂

You can pay any way you want when you get to store.
 
Ok so another quick question for those that managed to get launch day devices.

Can you remember when the money was taken (day) and when the statuses changed on your order and what they changed to.

For collection I have Sunday was payment and pick up confirmation was Thursday.

I basically want to know when the money went, when you changed from Processing > Prepare for Shipment > Shipped
 
All eggs in one basket is going to hurt the 14 Pro production. I was surprised to see Apple put out a press release for it, rather than keep bad news to themselves. Mind you, if lots of people suddenly find their shipping dates slip, that would become news anyway.

Shipping dates for the pro and max are showing as 6-13 December now.

That was my thought. There was rumours this morning and then a press release.

Think they will shift manufacturing for next year.

They probably should have stood up production elsewhere at the start of Covid in case an outbreak shut things down. It’s all very well switching 14/Plus production to India but that’s not going to help the Pro/Max woes.

I think Apple really underestimated the lack of demand for the 14. Every advert I see/hear is talking about the Pro to the extent where I wonder if people don’t realise other models are available?

I think the adverts gear towards the higher end purchasers as they cost a lot. The networks etc will push the lower end so that they can make monthly payments more inviting.

Joe Public won’t know the difference when they are negotiating with a network. They will just hear 14.

I seriously hope the ‘Ultra’ next year doesn’t end up on a different release date like the ‘Plus’ did this year.

I bought the deep purple as it’s my favourite colour. However, the weather has been so dismal and rainy since receiving the phone, I’m finding it more of a dull purplish grey and wishing I’d bought the silver as usual.
