£10 to use drop n go now cheeky bastards
Not covered up to full phone value with RM anymore either. Have to pay extra for special delivery!

Am I misunderstanding things (potentially?)

If you use RM's Special Delivery you're only insured whilst it's in 'transit' but should it go missing when it arrives for inspection and valuation you're only covered up to £150?

The “insurance” whether what Royal Mail covered previously or would with the paid for special delivery now would only cover, as you say, in transit. There might be a case to be made if it’s damaged in transit but not an easy one to provide id imagine.

Also, in the case where MM open the box and find a scratch or damage which wasn’t there when you sent it.. not sure you’d be able to easily claim it was transit damage and MM wouldn’t take an responsibility.

But in most cases these are probably edge case issues and personally had no issues using MM for a number of years.

Take loads of photos before sending and packing it it up and wrap it up well!

got a scratch on my phone screen i hope when i trade in with MM they won't knock any price off. Not noticeable unless in a certain light but maybe they will.

think apple care is needed for 15 pro max. certainly given my 2 year old seems to pick anything up these days

Kiosk it, I had a scratch on my old phone that I could feel with fingernail and I didn’t get my price knocked down

Do I what I do much cheaper than Apple care + a case and glass screen protector 😉

Hi all
Back for the iPhone 15 upgrade this year, upgrading from a 12 pro max. Are there any trade in codes going about this year yet?

Had a good experience with rebuy last year offering the quoted price when MM deducted quite a chunk for some light scratching, even sending DPD to collect the phone next day for free, but it looks like rebuy is not accepting trade-ins at the moment

What is the best way of doing things this year guys? I want to get out of the EE upgrade cycle and go SIM free at the end of this contract.

Do I lock in with MM now? How does that all work?

Will I need a burner to see me through?

I believe people are re-saving their quotes every 13 days on MM. not done it myself but I’m sure people here do it

I’m also on EE and think will be going sim free this year. Not sure of to go buy with Apple or order with very.co.uk

Better to go the interest free option from Apple and SIM only, in my opinion.

I traded in my 12 Pro with Apple, I’m paying £56 a month for a 14 PM with 512GB storage. It made swapping phones straightforward as I had both phones at the same time before sending in the 12P.

Then I added a Three SO with unlimited data for £11/month. Not going to get a network deal with phone for £67/month.

Also another positive of this approach is that the apple payments are fixed as is the monthly cost of a 30 day sim only plan and so you don’t have to suffer the huge yearly in Contract price rises that the carriers do
