Bad thing is they now charge you for the privilege but a few have got away with minor scuffs using them
See mine at present I’d say is in excellent condition … wondering if should eBay it or music magpie it

Or put a cheap phone in to test it hahahaha

Problem with eBay is the cut they take !

Why not try the kiosk, and if you don't like the amount they offer you, don't go through with the sale...simples!
Heard of damages while in the machine etc etc tbh

probably a small percentage complaining online due to some bad luck with them

didn’t know they charged tho - so wonder how much they’ll offer

I'd assumed it was nothing more than a bunch of cameras inside that let some one check the phone over
it's literally a lightbox with cameras, a little door opens and you lie the phone down, that's it. It doesn't do anything to your phone so if anyone is damaging it it's the person selling.

You can even watch through a window on top.

How on earth are people damaging phones in the kiosk? You lie it flat and that's it.
.
Ha I know - really shouldn’t look at bad review comments … tbh never used one and asumming it’s a very basic inspection … gotta be safer then sending by post tho tbh most would pack it well and take photos as proof of what condition it was sent in

I'm thinking I'll send off my pro max soon after the announcement... just as long as the 15PM isn't delayed..

then downgrade to my burner XR to really make me miss and appreciate the new phone!

bit of self torture!

I've sold 3 phones using the kiosk, get paid within 20 minutes, even on weekends.
that's the best part... but pay £20 for the privilege.

though, they're not charging £10 for the Special Delivery option too on RM... so for a tenner more, it might be worth it.

hopefully they've ironed out the issues a few people reported last year with no one being available on the other end when they took their phone to the kiosk etc

I’ve only got a SE2020 .. couldn’t use that as a burner - battery life would drive me insane !

very true.. think this last 12 months I've been spoilt be the battery life of the 14 pro max... I'll probably get half of what I do on the XR.. tapatalk will kill the battery the week after keynote

Anyone recommend the music magpie kiosks ?

Read a few bad things about them tbh

I sold my iPhone 14 PM to a friend and they went to a kiosk to sell their iPhone 13 PM a few days ago. This was a phone that was replaced by Apple last month with AppleCare+ so was brand new (still used in a case and screen protector). When he put the phone into the machine it said there was something wrong with the device but it doesn’t tell you what, and it lowered the price by £120! I personally have never had an issue using the kiosks but this has put me off abit

the worst that can happen is you take it back home.

if he left the screen protector on, maybe that was compounding the issue?

probably worth having two quotes saved! one for the machine and then one to post it off to them 🤣

would be a bit peeved if I made a 20mile round trip and then they tried to reduce the price!

talking of SIMO deals.. just saw the £60 Quidco cashback on the Three 120GB 12 month deal... comes in at £7/m after cash back... might stick the second line onto that

I did ask if he still had the screen protector on and he said no as he removed the case and protector before putting it into the machine. Luckily he said no to the reduced price and will now be selling it private 😂.

Dirt or marks on the glass in the kiosk maybe? I doubt it can tell the difference between what’s in the phone and what’s on the kiosk.

15 Pro, Max AND Ultra?!
