I tell myself that’s it’s better to upgrade every year as the sale of the last phone plus AppleCare rebate pays off the old finance deal with some to spare. Then I take a new finance for the new one. But in reality, waiting the full 2 years before upgrading I am sure works out better as the 2 year old iPhone holds its value really well and with no finance to pay off, there is much more cash left over in your pocket. having said all that, I am sure I will probably upgrade mty14 PM…

You say that but the 13 PM is fetching £560 right now on MM. which means the cost of ownership over two years is £539, average of £270 a year depreciation. The 12 PM is £410, giving it an average of £230 a year depreciation.

Right now the 14 PM is £700, making this year’s depreciation £500 already. Sure, there was a £100 price increase but that’s even more alarming that we didn’t see (I don’t think) second hand prices rise in line.

Have I done this right? If I have, it’s deffo most expensive to upgrade annually lol
Shhhhh. 🤫 We don’t want to hear that here.

Hi! I've been following the thread. Has anyone actually used UR to trade in their device before? The trade-in value looks attractive.

Yes, I sold my 13 pro max to them last year, was fine, no chipping away at the price and instant payment Posted my 256gb 14 pro max today to them for £832, hopefully no issues again but who knows....
My plan is to do the same tomorrow via RM special delivery so they get a chance to look at it on Friday, hopefully. Had a look at the Trust Pilot reviews. Going to have to keep my fingers crossed. Phone is in pristine condition but you just never know...

Well, well, well!

What’s going on here then? 👀 Are you lot misbehaving? Not a single post for 7 hours!

I am surprised the 20 page debate about the best screen protector hasn’t started yet 😂

PS. The Spigen and ESR ones are pretty similar. I prefer the Spigen with the plastic applicator as they are easy to install.

Just one more day until the Music Magpie Massive can fret no more about locking their price in for launch day (if they're using a kiosk at least). I'll do it again on the weekend for good measure.

I for one will be glad when that anxiety is over and I can focus all my anxiety where it truly belongs - on colour choice!

Apparent colours for the 15 and 15 Pro

I normally go Gold every year so surprised they’ve removed it after all these years, so looks like I’ll be going white/silver this year

Second choice would be the grey

Although the way I choose as it’s going to be in a case is how the colours contrast each other from the camera cut out and the case it is in

I’m really liking the look of the mulberry ‘fine woven’ case if it’s true, pairing that along with the white camera on the silver

…just not so much that rumoured £109 price tag for it!

Are the pros going to have shiny edges or matt? They looks as shiny as the stainless steel in this video but is that because they're just dummies?
He mentions how these are probably not going to be shiny due to titanium and it might just be a dummy model error

(I quickly sped through the video so I might be wrong if someone can confirm that)

Edit. 3:20 into the video

Thanks, good spot! I just skipped straight to titan grey 😂

I'm going to be trading in my 12 Pro 128gb and I've just realised my battery health is at 80%, does anyone know which provider would offer the best price for a phone that will likely be under 80% battery health by launch day?

The top 5 prices on compare and recycle all have minimum 80% battery health included in their terms and conditions to describe a phone as being in "good" condition

It's in perfect condition other than the battery!

It’s crunch time, swaying towards keeping 13 pro for another year and holding out to see what the 16 pro brings. I’ve only ever skipped 1 gen in the past let alone 2 gen’s, entering new territory
