What's wrong with an October shipping date? Do you really need it on day 1?
Capital One declined my payment, even though it was authorised yesterday using their app. I called them, really annoyed. I told them I buy a new iPhone every year around Sept/Oct so there is no way it should have been flagged as 'unusual activity'. Unfortunately the UK centres are closed today because of recent events. It has worked out OK though, Capital One were satisfied that the purchase was genuine and was me making it and I went back in to 'change' the payment method on the existing order - so I didn't lose out at all. My iPhone 14 Pro Max is arriving on 16th September.
Do you know how long Apple hold the phones for if you chose pick up or if you can change it with them after this mad rush to say the next day?

Had a weird issue where it kept telling my phone number was incorrect... then would not let me enter a new number? Never had that before.

So unimpressed that even when using the banking app two factor, it still thinks this is fraud and blocks the transaction. I assume my original ship date is now lost.
Order has finally processed and I have a 3-10 Oct shipping date. I'm absolutely livid.
