It’s a doddle .. when you’re setting up initially it just asks if you want to transfer your e-sim and hey presto. Very smooth process indeed for me and I was dreading it! (I’ve done it twice already as got a pro and changed my mind so put it back onto my 15 Pro Max! Will do it again once I manage to get a 16 Pro Max)

Why did you return the Pro? You missed your Pro Max?
 
Got mine today from O2, My eSIM wouldn’t transfer from my 15 Pro Max, Live chat told me I would have to go in to store to get a new one, phoned them and the guy I spoke to said to put the SIM card in I received and he could request a eSIM for me 24 hours after my plastic sim has been registered. Had signal after activation for a bit and now gone to no service so no idea what’s going on

Ordered a pro max but not due until 7-14th October and the wrong colour! (Didn’t work that out until I saw the colour I’ve ordered on the Pro.
I have a wrong colour one from apple due 7-14th oct and the colour I want due oct 10th from John Lewis

I’m onto my 3rd iPhone and this one is going back too. Apple has absolutely lost their touch, I don’t know what’s going on with quality control. I’ve had 2 with defective frames out of the box, and this 3rd one has a bad colour shift when looking straight on.

I’ve also had to switch from Pro Max to Pro simply because there’s no stock of Pro Max for replacement. I much prefer bigger phones but the Pro Max is a little too bulky this year and I’ve ended up appreciating the smaller size for everyday stuff. I’ll be back at the Apple Store this weekend to swap for another 16 Pro.

I wish I could get a different phone brand but I have everything else Apple at home and have converted my whole family to iPhone.

I’m trying to help someone get a 16PM (got mine last week); any tips? London based, they have been waking up early to check Apple, I have suggested they add Argos to their morning search based on some lucky folks here, where else have you all been looking?

There’s always someone who gets the bad luck, I remember some people switching their XS Max 5 or 6 times. Looks like you’re the one who got hit this year - thanks for sucking up all the bad luck and making sure we got perfect phones 😔

So which phone are you keeping? The Pro Max right, you are returning the 16 Pro?

I’m trawling online daily. For me (I can only do line) the best bet is, I think, John Lewis for delivery on Oct 10th. If I manage to get something sooner I’ll cancel my order but at least I know now it’ll be the 10th at the latest

oops sorry! Just went to check and their 10th Oct pre orders have run now unless you want desert titanium 512GB
 
Argos has 256gb PM in Natural with delivery in 4 days on the site now.

I hope you get the phone you wanted after all these are expensive devices. I hit the jackpot for a few years in a row before.
I had to return multiple devices with dust under the screen, dead pixels, dodgy frames, etc. Once you get the exchange, do the unboxing instore, saving your time for another Apple trip.
 
16 Pro with delivery 1st - 8th Oct has changed to Preparing to Ship for the Wife. My 16 Pro Max is still Processing for 8th - 15th Oct

& this is exactly what my post is about.

You’ve ordered a pro, a pro max in a colour you don’t want and another pro max.

Why not just go to a shop and make you decisions with the tester devices they have on display? Nobody in the UK is that far from a shop.

Anyone close to Brighton / London trading in or selling a iPhone 15 Pro Max?

I’ve got a 16 Pro Max on order but considering cancelling and picking up a used 15 and buying a new 17 next year.

EBay and Marketplace are full of scammers!
