Did I hit a nerve?

I am simply stating the T&C's. I could not possibly comment on someone at EE 'caring' as its not my place to do so.

Perhaps you should look up the meaning of a contract rather then Ray Croc (who?) quotes.

I am one of those people who will happily break a contract if it suits me. And in business thats common.

And you should look up the quote. It is worth it.

It’s freeeezzzzing this morning. No chance of me waiting in this weather. I’ll stay warm and cosy and wait 10 more days.

If anything I’ll try the usual store reservation option from the 4th and see if one pops up in the meantime.

I think I’m gonna go for it, if I leave my house at about 6 then I’ll hopefully be in for a good shot as the mall won’t be open so there would be many entrances to come in from. That’s my logic anyway.

If I fail then no bother I’ll have my other order too.

he explained it himself in his video, this is a shift to our muscle memories. he's probably pressing down and swiping then realised he has to swipe up. the press down triggers 3d touch so its likely it halts the functioning of the home bar. its not an error at apple its just going to be us for few weeks getting used to it.

Yip, I expect there's going to be a fair bit of this - we've been carrying out the same actions with our iPhones for the best part of 10 years, so it will take some time to learn the new way to do things. There's been little tweaks along the way, but this is a wholesale change.

Feel like I am the only one with a 4-5 week delivery date thanks to the stupid store app. What with people successfully ordering multiple phones at different outlets and still getting an earlier delivery date, seems like I went about the ordering process all wrong this year.

Nope, me too 4-11 dec delivery gutted really

Even had dream last night that it was pushed to be 2-3 weeks and woke up and checked email lol
Have to stop reading forums before going to sleep lol

annoyingly iOS11 started using swipe up on ipad to bring the dock up. So Apple themselves are providing contradicting actions between iphone and ipad.

You will probably receive your phone a lot sooner. Apple usually like to under promise and over deliver.

I think with any non-Apple company you just have to wait and see what happens - which isn't brilliant, but they don't seem great at communications (ironically) and you'll often get told any old nonsense by their frontline chat/support people. If your phone was down for the 3rd then you should get it this week, but you might waste a lot of time and energy trying to get it confirmed 100%.

You'd hope they wouldn't take orders without confirmed stock - I think the only company I've seen do that before were Very, although O2 had a bit of a screw-up with the iPhone 7 where they clearly took too many orders or Apple gave them less stock on launch day.

Yeh, I'm in agreement here...I'm just hoping their cancellation process isn't as traumatic as I'm reading. My Apple order is due to arrive on w/c 10th November, so they have until then I guess..

I genuinely feel bad ordering multiple phones, but this is the first time I've not managed to secure a day 1 iPhone since 2007... desperate times!

What time did you get your order in?

The app failed for me on my iPhone, I switched to the app on my iPad and managed to order by 08:06 for 3rd Nov delivery.

Yeah I’m way preppered for it and not at all bothered it’s just the price you pay for a new innovation really.

Ordered my screen protector and case which will arrive tomorrow and just deciding on a skin but I think for the meantime I will skip it.

Got 2 wireless chargers at home so don’t need to buy them.

So should be sorted now just need to wait until Friday evening to try it out when I am finally home from Birmingham.

Makes me feel kinda bad now for my pre-8am strop on Friday... I think the wife might have hit me if I said the words "If I don't get it on launch day I'm going to..." one more time.

Just got a dispatch email and UK Mail tracking number...

...for a dashcam I ordered at the weekend.

Will be good to get some indication of what they’re like. Had no problems with them in the past.

Why would I look up the quote? You already wrote it in your previous post. Either way, one day your antics will come back and bite you in the rear :)
