Are us UK buyers able to track our order early like the US buyers? I know they can use UPS MyChoice or enter there telephone number as the reference. Can we do this also?

Even i preordered in CPW and have also checked with them (over a call & on FB) with the same reply that you will get on 3rd as communicated by the store. Though i agree that they might change at the last moment depending on how much stock they receive.
I completely agree. They know how many devices they have requested from Apple, but will have no idea when they will receive all of these.

Nope - UK orders won't be dispatched until Thursday, from the UK. So you'll either get a UKMail, DPD or UPS tracking number at some point on Thursday.

They've been more than happy to

To be honest, that sounds possible. As far as I can tell it's Space Grey that they're not getting until the 10th

If that is true I will just tell my mate to look elsewhere and I will cancel the order but definitely won’t be doing anything until the 3rd as there is no point.

Got my Apple order arriving on the 3rd hopefully not by UK Mail!

Good news for those who won't gets their iPhone X until 4-5 weeks. Just check pcworld.co.uk for more info.
Delivery date 10/11/17

Pre-ordered on 27th night with Vodafone (they were taking few orders) and got the confirmation email next morning. The sales advisor online claimed that it will be delivered on the 3rd but their 'track my order' page is saying 25th November. I spoke to someone from Vodafone who insists that they tracking system is not accurate and should check back on 3rd. He claimed mine is still on track for the 3rd. Anyone else in the same boat?

At least I have my pre-order to pick up from Regent Street. Does anyone know if you can arrive earlier?

Thanks.

What do we think the iOS will be on the iPhone x? iOS 11.1 or 11.0.3... Could cause a few problems with iCloud backups!

If we back up our old iPhones with 11.0.3 installed, and then get the iPhone X with 11.1, will the backup work ok?

I know if the X comes with 11.0.3 preinstalled and we're backing up with 11.1 (if released before Friday) we will need to update the X before restoring.

Restoring from an earlier iOS version is fine but not from a newer one. You would have to update the iPhone then do the restore.

Best advice is to stay on the stable public release (so 11.0.3) and restore your backup from there. Will be zero compatibility issues going up.

I’d imagine the iPhone X will ship with 11.1, but nobody other than Apple knows at this point. Stay on 11.0.3 if you haven’t already upgraded. Worst case is you’ll have to update your X to pre-release software.

Carphone Warehouse and PC World are now the same company, and hence have the same unreliable delivery dates.
Yeah was about to say I preordered a watch series 2 from curry’s last year and they rang me saying they didn’t have one to sell me after all, so I just cancelled it. Pinch of salt.

Am I missing something, did you get the phone on contract and that’s why you ordered through CPW? If you bought the phone outright I have no idea why you would order through CPW. Total ***** of a company.

Like the other poster.. I'm down for a 13th - 20th Nov delivery with Apple... I would prefer it in my hands on the 3rd, CPW said they could do that... I'll believe it when I see it of course. I know they're shitbags, but I've not missed a launch day phone since 2007.

Given 11.2 just went into beta, 11.1 must be released today or tomorrow. So if the last 11.1 beta was a GM (which would make sense) it's possible they got that onto them.
