Has anyone who has ordered from 3 got any update on their delivery such as “notification of dispatch”?

You won't hear anything till either the night before delivery or the morning of delivery. I ordered before 8am and have been told today my order is due to be delivered by 10th November. My delivery date on my upgrade is today however.

Anyone buying an X from their local Apple Authorized Reseller? How much stock are they getting? Do you have to reserve an unit by calling them or can you just walk in on Friday and walk out with an X?

Feel like I am the only one with a 4-5 week delivery date thanks to the stupid store app. What with people successfully ordering multiple phones at different outlets and still getting an earlier delivery date, seems like I went about the ordering process all wrong this year.

Also in same boat here man. 2nd Dec thanks to the app popping up telling me that 'the model you've select is ready to be picked up' on Friday the 3rd of November. Wasn't until I looked at my reservations 10mins later I found out that this wasn't the case and it never went through.

Thanks Apple!

For those of you worrying about their longer lead times, have hope. I remember when I tried to get my original iPhone 6 plus for launch day delivery, i missed out and my confirmation slipped to '2-3 weeks'.

However in practice, I actually received it the MONDAY after the launch day (Friday).

Got my order for pickup on the 3rd, excited.

I had to buy it outright because all the slots to sign up to iUP were gone.

Can I switch into iUP instore when I pick up? And what’s the process? Do they refund your payment and set up the payment plan?

Quoting my own post! Anyone got any ideas?

My Spigen Thin Fit case has arrived, looks quite small next to my 7plus.

I'm also checking my order status probably a bit too frequently, just in case there's a payment problem for my Fri pickup.

Yes you can swap. I did the same with my 8 (albeit I went with the non-Applecare Payment Plan)

They setup the plan first and then refunded me. Make sure you get an email confirming the refund though as i didn't and it wasn't until a few days later that I realised that they had NOT processed my refund. A quick chat with an online rep and it was all sorted :)

Nice one thank you!

I'll be doing the non-applecare plan too. What's the point of insurance that doesn't cover loss/theft?

Pretty much agree with this.

I ordered 07.55 and have been told 3rd and 10th. The true reality is something that they will not admit. They take orders and money indicating real ease day or soon after delivery dates. When the reality is they will in all probability have no idea of the amount of stock they are getting and therefore only a small number of customers will get theirs this week.

I’ve given up asking them now as been told twice over the phone and twice on twitter mine is the 3rd, only to also be told on twitter that it will be the 10th. Pinch of salt required until Thursday probably when you get either a dispatch confirmation, or more likely a delay notification.

Even i preordered in CPW and have also checked with them (over a call & on FB) with the same reply that you will get on 3rd as communicated by the store. Though i agree that they might change at the last moment depending on how much stock they receive.

No problem :)

I think most people tend to drop / damage their phones so AppleCare provides decent coverage on that; especially given the prices for out of warranty / non-insured repairs for the X!! It's now MORE expensive than the US!

(EDIT) As pointed out above my reply, it does allow you to upgrade every year but I don't do that anymore. My 6 lasted over 2.5 years and I hope the 8 will do the same unless I'm tempted by next year's offerings

I try to be very careful with my phones (in a case from Day 1! and they have survived (and continue to do so) my daughter growing up! Even my iPad 2 is still intact despite numerous 'drops' and 'fumbles'.........

CPW now claiming that any customer who was expecting 3rd delivery but has been delayed has been text messaged to inform them. VERY doubtful and sounds like more lies.

My additional order from CPW is something I am not going to fret about, you can phone them multiple times a day and get different answers each time and for what reason? You will only end up getting annoyed or stressed due to the confusing responses from CPW customer service who don't have any clue!

Wait until the 2nd and chill out till then and if you don't get any tracking information then give them a call.

I hope Apple send out their "Buying experience" survey for the iPhone X, like they have in previous years. I feel like ranting at them for the store app and the shop page being unavailable. I managed to place an order through the iPhone X page at 8.10am, but by then it was too late.

Anyone with an idea regarding couriers? Last time I bought for delivery I think it was UPS who usually take all day!

In recent years I got the 7 Plus and SE in store so am out of the loop.

I’ve two X 64gb phones on the way but ordered from separate accounts (mine and wife’s).

Obviously I’ve advised her that if they come via separate couriers I’m claiming the one which arrives first

I haven't received a text but have been told over Twitter that it's the 10th (I doubt their text sending system would know that though). Really not a great setup...

Am I missing something, did you get the phone on contract and that’s why you ordered through CPW? If you bought the phone outright I have no idea why you would order through CPW. Total ***** of a company.

Because Apple had a 4 week shipping time on mine and CPW told me I'd get it on the 3rd. I know, I know I shouldn't have believed them.

Belkin Invisiglass. Not X!!!

Really Strange so they said it is 2-3 weeks, however I just got despatch information and delivery on the 1st November, yet the Appstore App still says 2-3 weeks!!!
