Mine's with UK Mail and out for delivery. Oddly enough Apple do not say what courier or anything. The only reason I know it's UK Mail is because I put the number in the site to see if it was that one seen as wouldn't work on TNT or UPS

My UK mail says 'Out for delivery!' :D

Today is going to be painful, all that waiting! ... orrrrr it could be at work waiting for me when i get there!
 
Might sound stupid but I plan on at least trying to get an iphone 4s today, and just have a few questions about buying 1?
On the UK site it says you need a UK credit or debit card, does that mean I cant pay by cash?
I also dont plan on going on contract so does that mean I still need to bring my passport and bank statement?

Thanks for that - I've just checked UK Mail due to this and mine is out for delivery through them too.

Not 100% sure about whether you have to have a credit or debit card but I know previous launch days that has been the case. I think it's safe to assume you can't pay cash.

I don't think you'll need passport and bank statement if you're buying sim free, but it probably wouldn't hurt to take them - just in case.

You can probably pay for the phone with cash if theres a cost depending on the conract you choose, however you'll need a bank account to get up the contract payments from.

And yes, you still need your forms of ID.

nothing really changes just because its an iphone, the process is the same. Well... apart from all the queuing! lol

EDIT: oops, missed out the "dont" ... my above answer is for if you WERE going to get a contract.

I know you can pay cash in Apple, i cant imagine phone shops wont let you. moneys money, they just wanna get paid!

So did mine (03:20 actually) but it says in transit not out for delivery. I assume that means it's being transferred to a local UPS depot for final delivery. The status updates on UPS seem to be hours behind.

A couple of people have said they've received items before UPS even hints that they have them in their tracking system.

more of a surprise that way! lol

Yeah mine was 3:20 too!! I bet ours are in the same truck chillin'. I meant mine was in transit too. Where abouts are you situated if you don't mind me asking?

I'm in Newbury so just down the A34. I was just about to say I bet our phones are going to the Abingdon depot when I checked the status again and now mine's out for delivery from Abingdon as of 06:50. I hope that van is coming south first :)
 
London CG store just been on ITVs Daybreak

Anyone from here?! couple of guys said they had been there since Tuesday!

My Micro sim just turned up aswell! Saves me having to cut mine down now... lol
 
I ordered before 9am on the day pre-orders went live and had an email within an hour later, for a 32GB black 4S.

It shipped on Thursday morning with a confirmation of shipment around midday, and has gone via UK mail with Syncreon and Apple saying it'll arrive on or before the 14th.

Yet checking the tracking this morning it has an update saying "delayed" and now estimated delivery of the 17th - not impressed.

Is anyone terrified of having a shower just in case that's the exact moment the delivery person arrives :/
