UK iPhone 4S thread.

You mean their depot at Milton Keynes? Yeah, that's what really upsets me when people send me stuff via UK mail. That same depot is 40 miles from where I live. All the others - UPS/Citylink are an easy drive for me as I'm not home during the day.

I think you will find they don't do Saturday deliveries :(

I'm feeling :) that my iPhone is with UPS and will get delivered at my work address today.

And as I finish writing this......my 32GB white iPhone has just been delivered by UPS. Great stuff UPS !!

SO annoyed!! Just phoned UPS as my delivery is scheduled for monday but its at my local depot. I asked if it was going to get send out today cause its only 30 mins away and if not then could I pick it up. She said its not going to get sorted till monday and I cant pick it up until after an attempted delivery

Mine is "scanned out" at Northampton at 8:48 . Probably after their vans left the depot. too bad they don't do Saturday deliveries and I can't go there, seems I have to wait until Monday (and Oh, I cant be at home on Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday) :(

I wish I had queued at the Apple Store here.

What location was yours at before it was 'out for delivery'? Was it at Abingdon? I'm in Oxford (not far from Aylesbury) so could be the same one, or might not be :p.

Edit: searched UPS site and yours is a different one to mine :p. Ah well, hopefully mine is soon :)

The replies were a bit conflicting, but as two of you said it won't work then I'll take that as the correct answer.

What will it do when I plug it into iTunes then, just say it needs a Sim?

My problem is that I'm going away for the weekend this afternoon, so if it arrives this afternoon I won't have time to get to the Vodafone shop to get a Sim, get home, and then set it up through iTunes (I want to restore from my 3gs backup).

I can get to a Vodafone shop anytime over the weekend for the Sim, so it would be handy to do the iTunes bit first. As I understand it, I can't do that though.

My UK Mail depot is only 5 miles away yet my iP4S has been on the road for ~ 2hrs and no sign of it still. Do hate it when these delivery companies can't give a more accurate time of delivery than between 8am-6pm.

I've tried all the Apple Order Number, Tracking Number and Additional Order Numbers in the UKMail Track By Reference box, and I'm getting *nothing*...
 
Out for delivery, no one at home :(

Anyone know if ukmail can be instructed to leave it with a neighbour?
 
Mine just arrived, 9:40am by UKMail :D:D

Very happy :) quite surprised, other couriers turn up around 2pm for me usually.

I hope everyone enjoys there IP4's, and good luck getting it everyone!

Hah, I'm currently using a Samsung E700. I think an iPhone 4S is quite a significant upgrade for the both of us. :p

Aw gawd. I think it's looking more likely that you'll have to pick it up on Monday due to Royal Fail/Three. :(
Are you sure there's nothing you can do to get it tomorrow, like, tell them to deliver it to another address, or... I don't know, ANYTHING?

Well mine arrived at 8.20am this morning. The UK Mail guy got me out of bed!! I told him he was a star for coming so early and he said he was prioritising the boxes in blue bags as he had a feeling people would be waiting!!

At least I've got the rest of the day to do something nice and have not taken it off just to stare out of the window for most of the day!!

UPS still shows as "A UPS shipping label has been created" WTF, got my dispatch email from Apple at 1:36 am yesterday morning, they have had 30 odd hours, where the hell is my delivery!!!!!! :mad:

you're freaking kidding!! I'd be ringing back and asking for someone else...if you bring ID there's no reason they won't let you pick it up...UPS are an absolute farce...why can everyone else get it right??!!
 
I'm too scared to move. I need to shower and I need to go to the shops. Maybe if I'm real quick...

Probably won't turn up until the afternoon though. Damn I wish we could track the UPS vans :eek:

I dont know, im so annoyed!! Im thinking about just going up there anyway and asking for it!! I'll print off my emails notifications and take 2 forms of ID. If not then I will break in and take it muhahaha!!
